It’s not often that I have one on one time with my youngest. Each time she finds out it will just be the two of us, she claims it as a Mommy Daughter Date DAY! I love the excitement she has in spending the day with me, even when we don’t have specific plans. I wanted to plan a very special date for her today. We have claimed today as our FROZEN Mommy Daughter Day.

I started off our morning by surprising her with a FROZEN play set and new Jammies. I wish you could have been here to hear her squeals.

After she
quickly
changed, it was off to the kitchen to prepare some very special treats. We made gingerbread house cookies and decorated them with frosting that matched the FROZEN color scheme. I even let her sit on the counter, and that does not happen often here!

Once we finished the final touches on our cookies, I surprised Lennie with a few more toys! I know, Christmas is right around the corner, but sometimes you just have to spoil a kid! Right away Anna and Kristoff were deep in conversations, mostly about where the Olaf toy was hiding.

Anna’s dress fits in perfectly with all the other princesses hiding in Lennie’s closet! I was torn between getting her Elsa or Anna but chose Anna because the tulle on Elsa was a bit scratchy.

My older daughter went shopping with me at Walmart to pick out the items for the Mommy Daughter Date Day. She even picked something special for her little sister. She chose friendship sister necklaces. I thought it was so sweet that she thinks of her little sister as a BFF. I think Lennie was proud to be wearing the other half of her big sister’s necklace.

I am not going to lie; it was so hard to choose which items to get Lennie for our date. Walmart had so many options. I may or may not have gone 2 times just to narrow down my options! I also bought a few extra items as stocking stuffers.

Don’t worry, Frank (my older daughter) did not feel left out, even though I was only buying gifts for her little sister. She was treated to a Subway Fresh Fit for Kids meal, which included a FROZEN themed reusable bag and FREE FROZEN key chain.

To end our very special Day, we headed to the movie theater so see FROZEN the movie. Not going to lie, I was a wee bit too excited before seeing the movie
