The Art Of M J Forster – About the book
I’ve been overwhelmed by the appreciation so many people have shown for my work over the years that I thought this would be a great time to reflect on my career and produce a hardback book featuring many of my finest paintings, printed on high-quality paper.
Simon de Pinna, Director of The Town & Country Gallery, has more than 20 years of book publishing experience and he’s navigating me through the choppy seas of making my book a reality! We have a book designer ready to go and a world-class printer ready to print a limited edition of 1000 high-quality copies. If my campaign is successful, The Art of MJ Forster will be published in September.
The rewards
All of the rewards involve giving the backers something related to my art, from mini-prints to large framed original works. If we succeed in reaching our first target of £15,000, I can brief the designer and get the book production ball rolling!

Note that you won’t be charged anything if we don’t reach our target and no money is taken from your account until the campaign is over.
£10 pledged
I’ll produce 8″ x 6″ mini-prints in self-standing card mounts of three of my favourite images: an abstract, a landscape and one of my doorway paintings. I’ll send you one of these with a certificate of authenticity, signed by me. These prints will only be available to backers of this campaign.
£20 pledged
I’ll send you one of the mini-prints PLUS a signed copy of my book. In fact, it’s a great deal ‘cos the sale price will be £25 when it comes out in September.
£50 pledged
You’ll receive ALL THREE mini-prints and a copy of the book signed by me PLUS you’ll be listed in the book as a very important backer of the campaign.
£100 pledged
You’ll get the three mini-prints and not one but TWO copies of my book…I hope you’ll agree it would make a nice gift for an art-loving friend or relative! You will also get a personal invitation to the book launch we’re planning for a date in October, in London, where we’ll also put on an exhibition of new paintings. I’d love to meet you!
£200 pledged
I’ll send you all of the above rewards PLUS a 35cm x 25cm framed original painting, which you can choose from a selection I’ll send you if we reach our target. Their usual sale price is £250. But first come, first served, as they say!
£500 pledged
So…all of the £100 rewards PLUS a choice of 35cm x 50cm pictures, usual sale price £600.
£1000 pledged
For the biggest backers…my biggest pictures to choose from – 70cm x 50cm and usual price £1200 – as well as all of the £100 rewards. PLUS dinner with me after the launch of my book in October…is that really a reward?
