A rare lunar eclipse is expected to grace the sky on Sunday 27th September 2015 night.

The citizens who would have a good view are those living in the western hemisphere.

The celestial treat will not only have an over 14%cmoon larger during the night, but will be red in color.

The “blood moon” as it is referred is usually caused by a refraction of the light from sunsets into sunrise through the earth’s atmosphere, as per NASA.

This type of lunar eclipse was observed last in 1982 and is expected to reappear again in 2033.

Individuals living in Europe, South America, Europe, North America, Africa as well as some part of the Eastern Pacific and Western Asia will have a very clear view of the lunar eclipse how.

It is expected that at 9.07 pm, EDT the moon will go through earth’s dark part shadow.

The total eclipse is expected to start at 1011 hours EDT as per the NASA statement.

This total eclipse show is expected to last for about1 hour and 12 minutes.

To view this rare lunar eclipse, you should find an open point, according to Noah Petro, who is the deputy NASAS project scientist.

“I always advocate for people going to an open field that is devoid of tall trees” said Petro.

People are also advised to be in a darker environment away from the normal city lighting.

This will ring a clearer view of the moon. Everyone should be able to see the “blood moon” even in an urban setting provided no obstruction is available.
