Former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher is strumming up a boxed set worth of controversy with a profanity-laced interview that skewers just about every other act in the music business.
Given an open mic by Esquire UK for its December cover story, the 48-year-old British musician would have made the nastiest of rock critics blush with his critiques of Radiohead, One Direction, Ellie Goulding and his own brother, Liam.
“Does anybody give a fuck about what any of these current pop stars are up to? Who gives a s— what f—- One Direction do? C—suckers, all of them in rehab by the time they’re 30,” ranted Gallagher.
“Who gives a s— what Ellie Goulding is up to? Really? Adele, what? Blows my f—- mind. It blows my f—- mind. Nobody cares! Fame’s wasted on them, with their f—- in-ear monitors and their electronic cigarettes. And their fragrances that they’re bringing out for Christmas. You f—- d—-s.”
Much of the vitriol was saved for Radiohead, the brooding alt-rock band that was a rival of Oasis during the 1990s.
“I’m aware that Radiohead have never had a f—- bad review,” Gallagher complained. “I reckon if Thom Yorke f—- (excreted) into a light bulb and started blowing it like an empty beer bottle it’d probably get 9 out of 10 in f—- Mojo (magazine). I’m aware of that.”

Gallagher, however, did have some kind words for one fellow artist — an honor apparently harder to come by than a Grammy.
“Fame’s wasted on these c—s today. Bar Kanye,” he told Esquire UK. “You watch him on the MTV Awards and you think, “You can f— stay, you’re alright.”
But his biggest attacks were saved for his own little brother, Liam, the lead singer for Oasis.
Despite the band’s enormous multi-platinum success, Oasis imploded in 2009 after a not-so-brotherly fight between the two backstage after a gig in Paris.

He had especially harsh words for One Direction.
“I tell you what I think about Liam and this is just an opinion,” began Gallagher. “He would f—— aggressively disagree. He was rightly put up there as this f— huge rock star but he didn’t write a note, not a word.
“From my perspective I don’t know how comfortable I’d feel about the mania surrounding us, and you knowing in your f— soul that you were responsible for really wearing the clothes.”
After Oasis, the foul-mouthed Manchester product formed a new band, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. While the band released its second album, “Chasing Yesterday,” earlier this year — the record he was ostensibly promoting in the Esquire UK interview — but he still misses the cocaine-fueled partying of the ’90s.
“I haven’t got a ‘My Drug Hell’ story because it was f— brilliant,” says Gallagher, who added that he kicked the narcotic in 1998. “(But) what happened was I started getting massive panic attacks. You think you’re going to die.”
Being an elder statesman in the British rock scene has given him perspective and wisdom — if not exactly softening the edges.
“F—- hate whingeing rock stars. And I hate pop stars who are just… neh. Just nothing, you know?,” he says. “Oh, yeah, my last selfie got 47-thousand-million likes on Instagram. Yeah, why don’t you go f— off and get a drug habit, you penis?”
