Treasuring Baby
Everyone tells you to hang onto the early days of your baby since they go by so fast. Once you get older time starts going faster. When you have a little one it starts going warp speed. Wasn’t that onesie too big last week? Now it’s too small? When did he outgrow that bassinet? Jeez where did all that hair come from? These are just some of my thoughts lately.
Save The Memories
I came up with a way to quickly capture one memory a day of my baby. That way I can look back and remember what he was like a month ago, or two. And when he asks me about his infancy someday, I’ll have an answer! Like when he says, when did I learn to roll over? It was October 28, 2018! Maybe that’s a little bit of overkill. But, I don’t want to forget a thing. I bet you don’t either.
Little Black Book
I have this little black notebook I picked up a while ago. It fits in a pocket and has several boxes on each page. You could use any notebook really. I just like how this one is conveniently tiny and has pre-made sections to write in. I fill a little box every night with one memory of the day. For example: “October 29, 2018 Bernie is really good at rolling over now. He did it several times today!” It only takes a minute and when relatives ask what Bernie’s been up to, I have actual answers!
Whether you use it for baby or to remember your own day, why not start now? I bet you could find your own little black book for only a couple bucks today!
What’s one memory from your day today?
