Ridley Scott is heading to the Costa Blanca.

The filmmaker, famous for directing such classics as
Gladiator, Alien and Blade Runner, will use the popular tourist hotspot as a
location for his new film, The Counselor.

The production, which stars Cameron Diaz, Brad Pitt and
Javier Bardem, will feature Spain's sunniest Costa s a backdrop - a move that
will give the local Spanish property market an injection of Hollywood glamour and
glitz.

Indeed, luxury housing firm Rimontgo provided a location for
the shoot.

"Ridley Scott was keen to find a modern, luxurious property
that would be a believable residence for one of the wealthy characters," said
the firm. "It was eventually agreed that a beautiful villa in Monte Pego
represented everything that the production team was looking for."

But Ridley Scott is not the only Brit flocking to Spain's
Mediterranean coast. HSBC recently voted Costa Blanca property as one of the
most affordable places in the world for UK house hunters, while one
Marbella-based agent reported surprisingly fast sales in the area:

"We are now in a situation where the best bank-owned
developments are selling out within weeks. If they tick the right boxes on
location, views and price, these homes are simply not hanging around and we
have a genuine shortage in some areas," commented Nick Stuart, Director of Spanish
Hot Properties.
