The National Association of Realtors has won the award for Best Real Estate Social Media Campaign at the 2014 Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) for its range of infographics distributed on social media.
Infographics are a popular advertising tool, particularly for social networking platforms. While the real estate industry can be slow to embrace new technologies and practises, though, infographics have grown to become a central part of property advertising online, with sites such as Rightmove and Zoopla and organisations such as the Land Registry all publishing infographics.
The IAC Awards are produced by the Web Marketing Association to honor excellence in online advertising and gave the prize to the NAR's HouseLogic.com, a comprehensive website for homeowners which distributed original infographics via Facebook and other social communities - a reminder of the effectiveness of visual information and marketing.
“We are thrilled and honored to receive such an esteemed award from the Web Marketing Association. NAR launched HouseLogic to connect online with homeowners, and we always knew that its success depended on our ability to engage with consumers through social media. This award proves we’ve done it well,” said Pamela Geurds Kabati, NAR senior vice president of communications.
“We are constantly looking for new and creative ways to interact with homeowners across all media platforms, and we are proud to be recognized in this area.”
