Monochromes

Kate Hudson puts a whole new meaning to the word beautiful. She was absolutely breathtaking in a Pre AW13 Alexander McQueen black gown with gold embroidered neck and belt. The fitting was perfect! It hugged her curves well especially her famous derriere. Her simple make-up, bronze Ferragamo minaudière and Jennifer Meyer earrings perfected her whole look for the night. I just wished that she wore her hair up to emphasize the gown's gold beading and crystal embellished neck and her gorgeous face. Still, she was the best dressed star of the night for me.

If I'm gonna be like Helen Mirren when I reach her age, then please fast forward the date! Wow! Ms. Mirren looked every bit a moviestar slash fashion model in a Badgley Mischka Pre-Fall 2013 black gown {almost identical to Kate Hudson's} with gold embroidery.

Best Supporting Actress, Anne Hathaway proved that simplicity is beauty. She opted for a "nice" look at the 2013 Golden Globes after her "naughty" style at the Les Miserables premiere in LA. The actress looked so lovely and fresh in a white Chanel gown. Her cropped 'do suits her so well!

Reds

To battle a flu and look this gorgeous is not normal! Jennifer Lawrence was a sight to behold in a waist cinching {!} red Christian Dior Haute Couture gown. The 2013 Golden Globes Best Actress in a Comedy/Musical completed her look with a Ferragamo clutch and Chopard jewelry.

Zooey Deschanel donned a gown fit for any awards night. The New Girl actress looked glamorous {and cute at the same time} in a fiery red Oscar de la Renta bouffant gown. She topped off her look with a classic pearl strand necklace from Kwiat.

Ben Affleck scored big time; not with two Golden Globes, but with her wife of almost seven years, Jennifer Garner. The beautiful actress with killer arms looked sophisticated in a deep red-hue gown by Vivienne Westwood.

Laces

Les Miserables star, Amanda Seyfried went for the romantic and delicate look in a floor-sweeping Givenchy gown. Her loose wavy locks and subtle make-up complemented her chosen style for the night well.

JLo never fails to make most of us feel bad about ourselves by exuding too much hotness! She arrived at the Beverly Hilton Hotel looking like a trillion bucks in a second skin Zuhair Murad embroidered lace {strategically placed} gown. She completed her sultry look with a Jimmy Choo clutch, Christian Louboutin shoes, and Le Vien jewelry.

If the photo above is in B&W, it would definitely pass for something from the 1940's, don't you think? Nicole Richie channeled old Hollywood glam in an azure embroidered lace gown by Naeema Khan. Love her blue eye make-up, old Hollywood waves, and House of Harlow fringed clutch!

Julianna Margulies was a bit bold in her choice of gown this year. She wore a sheer lace Emilio Pucci gown that emphasized her rockin' body! Her best accessory for the evening was, of course, her super hot husband, Keith Liberthal.

Do tell! Which one's your favorite Golden Globes Red Carpet style?
