The Elegant Modern Jewish Wedding Details
We knew we wanted the wedding to be in Miami, where Brooke grew up. We had a lot of out of town friends and family coming and thought it would be a great place to spend spring break (especially our friends escaping the cold weather). We fell in love with the Coral Gables Country Club — the venue is gorgeous. We really loved everything about it – the beautiful chandeliers, the stunning cocktail area, the grand ballroom, and the large dance floor (this really sold us). It was the perfect place to celebrate the best night of our lives.
We met through mutual friends. We met briefly in December 2013. Jaron says Brooke didn’t give him the time of day. Brooke says not true – she would have spoken to him if he made the effort. Fast forward to almost a year later – we both had just traveled back from being with our families over the holidays. Brooke drove back from Nashville and Jaron had gotten back from West Virginia earlier that day. Our friends separately convinced us to go out that night. The plan was to go to dinner at El Taco, a Mexican restaurant and then out to the bars in the Highlands. Brooke showed up late since she had just gotten back in town and there was only one open seat at a long table (of course, next to Jaron). We still think this was strategically arranged. They talked for most of the night and after a few drinks the rest is history!
We got engaged in Italy May 2015 and married less than a year later.”
