POLITICIANS assemble! On 4 March 2016, former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad called for a press conference to remove current Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak. A number of opposition politicians, including Dr Mahathir’s previous foes, attended the conference. Among them were Democratic Action Party (DAP) leader Lim Kit Siang, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu, Dr Mahathir’s son and former Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, former Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) president Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik, leaders of the Bersih electoral reform group Ambiga Sreenevasan and Maria Chin Abdullah and former Kita president Datuk Zaid Ibrahim.
