What got you into nail polish in the first place?
I don't even know! I've had a slight addiction since I was young, I remember going to the dollar store in 7th grade and buying all of the polish I could. Then, a billion years later (so, last year) I found indies and it reeeaallly became an addiction after that. I went from 70 polishes to nearly 300 in just 8 short months!
What made you decide to start blogging?
I got laid off and wanted to fill my time with something. I started out doing general reviews but then got bored with that, so I started just blogging about my strange life, and now it's mostly nails.
How long have you been blogging?
Since January 2009.
Do you have a post that you are especially proud of?
Well, my biggest traffic draw is still my butter cake recipe so I guess that's pretty awesome. http://www.stepmomchronicles.

Have there been any challenges in blogging that you've had to overcome?
I kept trying to fit myself into a group that I didn't really fit into. I'm not a review blogger, I'm not a mommy blogger, I'm not a non-mommy blogger... I'm just me. I'm strange and I have finally come to accept that.
Favorite commercial polish brand?
You're making me pick FAVORITES?! AUGH. If numbers mean anything, China Glaze is my favorite. I own more of that than any other brand.
Favorite indie polish brand(s)?
STAHP. I cannot pick an indie favorite. (Unless you count my own brand. Then, that's my favorite. :D)
Favorite polish(es? I know it's hard to pick one!)
I'm sort of obsessed with Ghost Stories from Model City Polish right now. It's the most perfect grey holo polish ever and I would marry it if I could. I also have a crush on Nightmare Revisited from LynB Designs. I have sort of a thing for holos right now.
Have any pets? Tell me a little about them!
I'm a crazy cat lady but I only have one cat. My IG is full of nails and Turbo. He's practically my child. He is a bengal, so part leopard, and he's completely crazy but I love him so incredibly much.

Virgo
How old are you?
I'll be 30 this year (AUGH!) but I act like I'm 7 most of the time.
What's your profession outside of blogging? Or, are you a full-time blogger?
I sell renter's insurance by day and do a ton of other things as well, my husband and I own a motorsports business and then I make my own lacquers, too.
Any other hobbies other than polish + blogging?
Rock crawling. I've got a big, built Toyota. My husband drag races so I spend a lot of time at the race track. I'm also crafty at times.
