Head duly scratched, forehead duly slapped, we overlooked this "obvious" till now, and we hope many more in the hospitality field adopt the principle. Like a senior citizen’s, military or veteran’s rate, it offers preferred pricing, but in this case it is the absolutely lowest rate for lodging available at The Mast Farm Inn bar none. It is our most favored nation rate. Why? If you are a teacher, we know clear as day, and first-hand, that yours is "the noblest profession". First and foremost we went to school, and know what we owe our teachers. In addition, before purchasing The Mast Farm Inn in 2006, we spent 33 years as a publisher of schoolbooks. We published all subjects & grade levels from Pre-K illustrated story & exercise books, to elementary, middle school, high school, and pre-college schoolbooks, teacher manuals,and workbooks. We also founded and managed a non-profit teacher training facility which trained over 6,000 teachers a year in 2-3 day workshops on focused skills development and subjects. Our active catalog presented over 900 titles and all were produced, curricula explored, analyzed, educational objectives pursued, met, tested, by working with thousands of teachers, and teacher editorial teams. Of course there is always a "qualifier" also know euphemistically as "The Conditions & Terms". Remain Calm and Read On! It’s not a problem, and it’s a doozy of a deal! In essence this special teacher’s rate is available throughout the year at all times to any teacher currently teaching full time in Pre-K, Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, High School, College, Masters or PhD programs. The only caveat is that you cannot reserve earlier than 30 days or less than 5 days before you scheduled date of arrival, and your stay cannot fall within 5 days of a national holiday such as the 4th of July, or a social holiday, like Father’s Day. Only Travel Holidays? Problem! No can do on our side, as we do need to "pay for the books", and that would be what we gentle rural folk in the Inn business call "Where we catch up for missed snow days" That being said, saving over forty-fifty percent off regular rates, and saving 12.75% in occupancy, county, and state taxes, which are already included in the prices below, is a great deal which reflects our appreciation for your priceless contribution to so many. Not that we have any lack of respect or appreciation for the professions which follow, but we are not capable of offering the same offer to them or we would very quickly be unable to meet our obligations. Hence, it is not available to school staff, administrators, counselors, assistants, part-time teachers, workshop or seminar leaders, or online educators.
