A new chapter has begun for me, and my family, with the news we’ll be one member richer this August. Yep, I’m pregnant with our second child.
August marks their physical arrival (a Leo!) but this baby has been with us for sometime now. Not just the past 12 weeks of pregnancy, but prior – in our hopes, dreams and as they’ve encircled our energetic sphere.
Despite their energetic arrival, we were reminded that bringing life into the world is the ultimate surrender. Although you know the science that leads to pregnancy, if your baby’s soul isn’t ready or the timing isn’t quite right (say, with their soul agreement, yours and/or your partner’s), there is no forcing that bub into being. Conception is far more than a physical occurrence.
Pregnancy itself is a reminder to surrender. I’ve often clairvoyantly received a message for pregnant mothers – there is no real ‘doing’ to grow a baby. You needn’t do anything specific to grow their tiny toes, fingers or hair. All progresses divinely without your interference. Nature takes care of it; you take care of you. You cannot force a seed to bloom, a baby to grow. You must simply and lovingly tend to your seed and allow nature to take its course. Let the natural rhythm, timing and magic unfold.
Then, there’s surrendering to the physical changes of pregnancy – for me this has meant fatigue, constant nausea and frequent retching: a reminder to not allow the physical body to override the magic of the spiritual world, to slow down and be present in this (albeit uncomfortable) moment, knowing all else can wait. This too shall pass.
A mental surrender has begun too as I allow my plans to unfurl and a new way forward to appear. Working during this second pregnancy is already much easier with Katie and Claire on board. With all the prep we’ve already done to allow me more time with my (now growing) family, I trust we’re taken care of. Following those intuitive nudges twelve months ago helped prepare me, and The Little Sage, for this baby’s arrival, even if I didn’t know it at the time.
We’re thrilled by the addition of this little bub and eagerly awaiting their physical arrival this August. No doubt another round of deepening my mother’s intuition is yet to unfold, a rebirthing of self yet to manifest, and some insights for me to share with you as I go.
I am beyond grateful, excited and open to whatever this next chapter reveals.
