The Asus ROG G752 comes with a full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels resolution) 17.3 inch display, which produces crisp and colorful images. The display looked good in every scenario like during playing games or watching games. When I watched an HD video on this system, it looks very crisp, clear and colorful.



On our light meter, its brightness measures 320 nits making it the brightest laptop in this category. Its brightness scores are better than 284 nits average score of the desktop replacement system. Its display is also higher than 253 and 295 nits of the Alienware 17 and the MSI GT72 Dominator Pro respectively.

The laptop also performed well in our tests for color accuracy. Its display reproduces 113 percent of the sRGB spectrum, which is better than 106.3 and 100.9 percent of both its counterparts: laptops the Alienware 17 and the MSI GT72 Dominator Pro respectively.

Keyboard and Touchpad

The Asus ROG G752 comes with a pretty comfortable and spacious keyboard. The company has also equipped this laptop with some useful shortcut buttons for macros as well as launching recording gameplay and Gaming Center. This Asus ROG G752 comes with standard amount ports, which will be enough for all your normal as well as gaming needs. This system comes with one SD card reader slot, one HDMI Port, an Ethernet port, two USB 3.0 ports, headphone, Line-in and microphone slots for connecting any kind of accessories and displays for the better experience. The laptop also comes with a USB Type-C port and Thunderbolt ports. The company has also packed this laptop with a multi DVD Drive.

This laptop comes with a 720-pixel webcam, which can capture pretty decent images. The webcam is good enough for doing video chat on Skype or Hangouts, but won’t be enough for recording HD quality videos or any TV streaming services. It will also be not enough for clicking Selfies. The webcam is not going to shake your world, but can do almost all your works.

Performance

Asus has packed this ROG G752 with powerful sixth generation Intel Core i7 6700HQ CPU with 16 GB of RAM along with 1 TB of 5,400 rpm HDD and 256 GB of SSD. The laptop is powerful for handling any kind of games and other daily works without any problems. The laptop works perfectly fine when I was watching HD video in four tabs and downloading games in the background. The laptop also performed well in the performance test.

On GeeKbench 3 test, which is used to measure overall performance, this laptop scored 13,492 points, which is higher than 11,128 score of desktop replacement average and 12,965 scores of the Alienware 17, but is less than 14,229 score of the MSI GT72 Dominator Pro.

The file transfer speed of its hard drives is 130.5 MBps, which is less than 188.9 and 256 MBps of the MSI GT72 Dominator Pro and the Alienware 17 respectively. This score was much less than 397 MBps of this category average.

Graphics

This Asus ROG G752 comes with a really powerful Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M graphics card with 3 GB of video RAM. The laptop has handled games without making any compromises. The laptop is powerful enough for all kinds of games, so you can play any of intense games without any problems. The system failed to impress on the graphics benchmark tests.

On Metro Last Light at 1820 x 1080 resolutions in low settings, the laptop hits 61 frames per second, but on high settings it hits unplayable 17 frames per second. At high settings, the score was much less than 32, 34 and 33.59 frames per second scores of the Alienware 17, MSI GT72 Dominator Pro and the average of this category laptop.

This is one of the few laptops that come with G-Sync technology of Nvidia, which allows users to get rid of screening tearing and lag. This technology syncs laptop’s display with its graphics card. This technology is very good for any gaming laptops and makes this laptop better than some other gaming monster laptop.

On 3DMark Fire Strike graphics test, the laptop scored just 6,513, which is lower than 8,234 and 8,328 scores of the Alienware 17 and the MSI GT72 Dominator Pro respectively, but is on par with 6,727.69 average scores of this category laptop.

On 3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited benchmarks, this laptop scored 121,336 points, which is higher than 99,440.62 average scores of this category laptop, but is less than 127,920 and 140,281 points of the Alienware 17 and the MSI GT72 Dominator Pro respectively. The result was oblivious, because both the laptop features more powerful 980M graphics card.

Audio

The audio quality of this laptop is very good. The speakers of the laptop produce really good and loud sound. The sound quality was loud enough to fill the entire room with rich and clear sound. The audio of the laptop is enough for watching movies and playing games without using headphones. Though its treble seems a bit thin, but overall the speakers are very good. You won’t feel problems during gaming.

Heat

The Asus ROG G752 laptop did manage its heat properly. When we tested the laptop on our test after streaming video, the laptop remains cool during our testing time. The touchpad and keyboard remain cool and registered just 78 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit, which is much less than our threshold 95 degrees Fahrenheit temperature. The hottest part of the system was the bottom, which reached 84 degrees Fahrenheit, which is also less than our threshold value. You won’t have to worry about the heating problem.

Software and Warranty

This Asus ROG G572 is powered by Windows 10 operating system and comes with lots of pre-installed softwares for making you gaming experience better. The company has loaded this system with ROG Gaming Center, which allows you to see this system’s specifications, CPU and GPU usage details and program up to four profiles for your favorite games. You can also disable your touchpad easily. This system also comes with the MacroKey app, which allows you assign shortcuts to five macros keys of this laptop. You can assign up to 256 commands and even launch your favorite apps via these keys. Battery Life

The Asus ROG G752 lasted 3 hours and 9 minutes during our battery test. We test the battery by continuously using the laptop for surfing over Wi-Fi. Its battery life is less than desktop replacement average (which lasted 4 hours and 20 minutes), MSI GT72 Predator Pro (which lasted 3 hours and 32 minutes) and the Alienware 17 (which lasted 6 hours and 35 minutes).
