First up, I cannot believe how quick this holiday has gone! I have enjoyed it, and have met some really inspiring people on my trip, but I am definitely ready for home and kitten cuddles with Millie – even though Dad did FaceTime me yesterday and I got to see her sweet little face. This morning the weather was beeyoutiful and so I headed up to iDrive 360, as there are three brand new attractions there – The Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds and the Sea Life Center. As they are brand new this week, I expected it to be kinda crazy busy but it was really quiet, which I didn’t mind in the slightest. I managed to get a really good deal before I came out here which was all three attractions for £15, which you probably wouldn’t pay for one attraction in the UK.iDrive 360, Orlando, Florida

Firstly, I headed onto the Orlando Eye, which included a 3D presentation before taking your place on the capsule. With it being America, I expected it to be the biggest Eye in the world, but that one is actually down in Australia. You enter the capsule, which can hold perhaps 10-12 people, and is luckily air conditioned, and are joined by a host which you can ask questions to as well as her or him pointing out various points of interest. It took about 25 minutes to go all around the wheel, and it was a pleasant ride and at the very top you are 400 feet into the air. You could see miles and miles away, including Epcot at Disney World, the whole of International Drive, lots of lovely scenery and lakes and I definitely did enjoy it, but I think this would be something that once you’ve done it, it’s done.

Next up was Madame Tussauds and I haven’t ever been to one of these before so I was looking forward to it. They had different props and activities for people to enjoy, and had I been with someone else I think I would have gotten a lot more out of it. It was fun though to see the different celebrities, which included people from history, the president, sports stars including my handsome David Beckham, singers including Rhianna, Miley Cyrus etc and actors and actresses. It was soooo crazy how real they looked, I actually had to touch their arms just to make sure they weren’t real, it kinda freaked me out a little!!! Their makeup, accessories and clothing were on point, and it really was fascinating. I would definitely like to go to another Madame Tussauds and go with a friend or a family member as I think it would make the experience extra special.

Lastly, was the Sea Life Center, which we do have over in the UK and if I am honest, I would say ours are actually better. They had tonnes of fish, obviously, and only a couple of mini sharks, one octopus and some starfish. I definitely think this attraction could have been done a whole lot better. There was one hands-on attraction, which was the starfish, but it was a little crowded round there so I didn’t stop to get suckered on by a starfish. I do think this would be great for little ones, but I think with ours in England, it is suitable and enjoyable for all ages. It was nice to see the fish and other creatures, as I love animals but I did feel a little disappointed.

This evening I headed over to one of my favourite stores, Walgreens and picked up a few pieces, including KISS false nails, a Sinful Colors Nail Polish in a pretty purpley-blue shade, a Maybelline Fit Me! foundation, Garnier Fructis Full & Plush Root Amp Root Lifting Spray Mousse (longest name ever!) and lastly an Olay Fresh Effects Deep Pore Clean and Exfoliating Scrub. I have been reading about the Olay Fresh Effects range online and it sounds really good but they only had this out of the range in Walgreens so I was a little disappointed but hopefully they will bring it over to the UK sometime soon!

For dinner I went to the Olive Garden, which is an Italian restaurant, and I haven’t been for a few years but it used to be one of my favourites. I was seated in a booth and ordered a drink called Strawberry-Passion Fruit Limonata which looked really pretty and came with a huge strawberry. At the Olive Garden you get given warm garlic breadsticks and a choice of soup or salad – I chose the salad which came in a large bowl and included lettuce, red onion, carrot, tomato, banana peppers, olives and a really scrummy dressing. For my main I ordered a special two dish option, which was made up of Chicken Alfredo and Italian Mac n Cheese. I started with a bit of the Mac n Cheese, which came with bacon bits, but then came across a thick black hair – I am blonde – so I told the server and she took it away and ordered a fresh for me. I will be honest, it did put me off a little, but I did try a bit of the fresh dish, and the Chicken Alfredo was really yummy. The manager came over and apologised and the server then told me there was no charge for the drinks or meal, which was really nice of them as I hadn’t particularly complained or made a scene.

The next couple of days will be pool days mainly and perhaps two trips to Joe’s Crab Shack so I will probably do days 13 and 14 as a duo. I head home on Sunday and arrive back into England on Monday, so depending on my jet lag and catching up with everything that needs doing at home, I will probably do one last post when I am home and then I have lots of product reviews coming up as well as concentrating on the Northern Blogger Event which is going to be a Summer Picnic theme, so if you would like more information on that please contact me on my email kjw130384@gmail.com or Tweet me @kjw130384
Speak to y’all soon!
Love,
Kathryn xxx
