I just want to say a quick apology for my lack of posts this last couple of weeks – I have had colds, throat infections, chest infections – the works! I am still not 100% and so I am a little behind with blog posts but I have lots of lovely amazing products to show you all, starting with this fragrance haul.

Another reason I love this time of year is because so many new fragrances are being released in time for Christmas gift-giving and recently I was very kindly sent two male and two female fragrances to try out for my lovely readers. I have decided to do all four in one post because then it is more of a gift guide than a review, but obviously I will include my thoughts on each one and all of the important info.

Hugo Boss: Boss The Scent (£85 for 200ml)
I often think that Boss fragrances seem to be the epitome of manliness – even down to the bottle and packaging and this new release doesn’t differ from that. Boss have released this as being “…created for the BOSS man who plays seduction slowly, passionately and as an experience to be savoured and returned to time after time. With BOSS The Scent, he can engage all five senses, tapping into what women really want: An irresistible fragrance, unforgettable like a savoured seduction”.

Now I don’t know about all of that, but I do enjoy this fragrance and it is the kind of fragrance that when a man walks past you wearing it, you do a double take. Yummy. It includes top notes of Ginger, heart notes of Maninka fruit and base notes of Leather accords. Now I’m not overly sure what leather accords are but blimmin’ ‘eck they’re all kinds of gorgeous. It is quite an exotic scent, that feels really quite powerful without being too in your face or up your nose in this case.

I love how the fragrance is packaged – the scent is amber in colour and is encased in a matte silver cage, base and lid and will look elegant on a bedside table or bathroom shelf. The lid pops off easily and there is nothing fiddly about it in the least. I think most men would definitely appreciate this in their stocking this Christmastime!

007 Fragrances – SEVEN (£27 for 50ml)
The brand new male fragrance from 007 is SEVEN – and firstly let me just say how much I love the opening of this bottle – you simply twist the metal part around and the black part flips up and down revealing the spray function – HOW James Bond!!!!!! It definitely reminds me of something that would be featured in the Bond films, which I love how they have integrated that into the fragrance.

SEVEN includes top notes of Tangerine, Bergamot and Crisp Apple, heart notes of Cinnamon, Saffron and Nutmeg with base notes of Musk, Leather and Mahogany. It is really quite freshly citric but with exotic spices and woody notes and results in quite a warm captivating scent. I really enjoy this fragrance and I personally think this would be a great gift for a younger man, a brother or a boyfriend but I am sure all James Bond lovers will want this.

It is presented in a black glass bottle, with the bottle’s sharp-edged profile creating the shape of the number seven, giving the bottle a multifaceted dimension akin to the fragrance inside. Now as a Manchester United fan, the number seven always reminds me of David Beckham and this scent is just as yummy as he is!

007 Fragrances – 007 For Women (£30 for 50ml)
Not forgetting us gorgeous girls, 007 have released a female fragrance – 007 For Women. This is an oriental-style scent which I think works really well as a day-time or evening fragrance which I think can be quite rare to find. It includes top notes of Black Pepper and Rose Milk, heart notes of Blackberry and White Floral Jasmine with base notes of Vanilla, White Musk and Cedarwood.

The packaging is black and rose gold (I wish I could use emojis on here as I would so insert the one with the love hearts for eyes right here!) and the bottle has lots of multi-faceted parts to it that make it look more like an ornament than a bottle of perfume – therefore making it perfectly fabulous to place on your dressing table.

As mentioned, it is quite an oriental scent, but the vanilla makes it have depth and a hint of sweetness to it and the fragrance’s unique mix of ingredients blend signature femininity with intangible mystery and I would definitely pop this one on your Christmas list! Even if you have been a little naughty this year…

Juicy Couture – I Am Juicy Couture (£69 for 100ml)
Throughout the years I have always tried and loved Juicy Couture fragrances, as well as their jewellery, handbags and clothing – I think the brand represents Luxurious Fun. Everything they design is never just basic or plain, it always has crystals, a hint of gold or fun colours. Juicy Couture’s most recent fragrance I Am Juicy Couture carries this on extremely well.

I Am Juicy Couture starts out really juicy and sweet, mostly a mixture of strong passionfruit and gardenia and as it settles down, it becomes powdery sweet, lasting out for hours to a candied amber musk which makes the sweet florals not overly sweet. AND I LOVE IT. Top notes of this scent include Raspberry, Pomelo and Passionfruit, with heart notes of Sweet Pea, Rose, Heliotrope and Gardenia finishing with base notes of Amber, Cashmere Wood and Musk.

The packaging is stunning – a bevelled glass bottle with a gold crystallised cap that resembles their fabulous jewellery lines. The cap is a take on Juicy Couture’s iconic jewellery toggle and chain detail, which gives it a bit of a nautical feel. I love how the scent gives a warm feeling, its like a hug in a bottle! All whilst feeling fabulously juicy!

You can check out Juicy Couture here and the 100ml bottle is available here at Debenhams.

Love,
