As some of you may know, I don’t have a Mum – she went up to heaven when I was just 17 (you can read more about that here), but I know a lot of people don’t have Mums too, and so for those who do have a Mum, or for those who like to give something special to another special woman in their life, such as a Grandparent or carer, I have created a gift guide full of lots of gorgeous presents perfect for Mothers Day.
Wooden Cat Coasters £13
It is no secret I love cats (hence my blog name), and these wooden coasters from Sass & Belle are purely adorable! They come gift wrapped in twine and a little coaster holder, which holds six of these sweet cat drinks coasters. They have little pads at the back of the coaster to protect the surface they are on, so no matter how house proud your loved one is, these are such a cute gift. You can find them at Sass & Belle here.
Infruition Sports Water Bottle £15.99
For the sporty and health-conscious gal in your life, how about this fabulous Infruition Sports Water Bottle? It is the yummiest way to drink water, as there is a separate chamber for you to pop in your favourite fruit, veggies or herbs, in which they infuse to add some flavour to your water. It includes a colourful silicone lid which fits tightly to prevent any leaking for the Mum on the go. Some delicious flavours include lemon, lime and mint, or ginger and peach, or choose strawberry and blueberry for a refreshing detox. You can buy Infruition Bottles here.
Braun Satin Hair 7 Brush £29
An innovation in the world of hair care, the Braun Satin Hair 7 brush with active ions provides instant shine and smoothness from the first brush stroke, by simply pushing a little button on the front of the brush. It is perfect for travelling to tame frizz and remove static, and my hair always looks so much healthier when I have used this brush. It makes my hair feel gorgeous as well as making it look shiny and smooth. You can check out Braun UK here and purchase the brush on All Beauty here.
We Are Tea £6.65-£9.31
We Are Tea produce such lovely canisters of loose and bagged tea, and I think they would make a lovely gift for the tea lover in your life. The Rose Gong Fu Black Tea is a traditionally made, black leaf tea from the Anhui Province of Eastern Chine. During manufacture the leaf is gently infused with whole rosebuds, resulting in a light black tea with the wonderful scent and flavour of rose – an English country garden in a cup.
Possibly one of the prettiest teas I have come across is the Whole Chamomile Flowers Infusion Tea – perfect for late evenings, and for adding some calm into your life, this tea is grown on the Egyptian plains, with whole chamomile flowers giving a beautifully fragrant, summery elegance. It is a light and bright infusion which results in a true freshness to help calm the mind. You can find We Are Tea here.
Johnny Loves Rosie Watch £30
This delicate Johnny Loves Rosie watch from Watchshop.com is stunning! It has quite a small face, made from rose gold and plenty of sparkle, with a pinky nude leather strap, and rose gold hardware. Not everyone loves the chunky, large faced watches which have been on trend the last couple of years, and this gentle but girly version is perfect and comfortable for everyday use, with an added sprinkle of glitter. You can find it at Watchshop.com here.
Elemis Deeply Hydrating Skincare Set £34.50
The gift of luxury skincare is definitely a winner when it comes to Mothers Day and ASOS have released this Elemis Hydrate Set, which saves you 45% of the RRP if bought separately. It includes Elemis’ Rehydrating Rosepetal Cleanser, the Rehydrating Ginseng Toner, a Nourishing Omega-Rich Cleansing Oil and a Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm. With all of this cold weather we are having, hydrating skincare products are much needed! You can find the set at ASOS here.
Michael O’Mara Colouring Books £5.99-£7.99
Another craze in the last year or two is adult colouring books and these two beauties are perfect for Mothers Day. The Gift of Colouring for Mum includes a wide range of beautiful floral and animal pictures to colour in, and with Mum on the front, everyone knows whose it is!
I Love Colouring Flowers is a smaller sized colouring book, but is still full of gorgeous floral patterns and pictures to colour in. I also think it is the perfect travel-sized colouring book, so a lovely present if your loved one is going on holiday this year. Michael O’Mara can be found here.
Always My Mother Heart Plaque £3.50
Even though my Mum is not with me anymore, I think this is one of those pretty homeware items that would still be a lovely momento to hang on my wall. It has the quote – ‘Always my mother, forever my friend’ and at just £3.50 it suits a lot of budgets! Sass & Belle make such beautiful homeware products and this plaque can be found on their website here.
Marks & Spencer Make-Up Bags £5-£15
I was recently looking for some make-up bags that are perfect for travelling and stumbled upon these on the Marks & Spencer website. I love the gorgeous pale pink, gold and mint green colours, with beautiful birds and gold script and therefore I ordered all three design options. The smallest is the classic make-up bag style, with a zip, perfect for popping in your hand luggage or handbag.
The medium-sized bag is a vintage-style frame bag with a clasp to open and close the bag. It has the same pattern, which is also wipe clean and is just such a lovely design that I don’t often see on make-up bags.
Lastly, the Weekender is the largest of the trio and is definitely big enough to store plenty of make-up for a holiday – beauty bloggers included. It has two handles for carrying, and then you open the flaps to uncover lots of room for products, a detachable mirror and sweet polka dot printed pockets all along the inside to keep smaller items safe. You can check these out at Marks & Spencer instore or online here.
Lush Mothers Day Collection
I can’t do a gift guide without including Lush, and this year’s Mothers Day products are the cutest!
Flowering Tea Reusable Bubble Bar £4.95
An actual tea bag lookalike that you can dunk in your bath! Once dunked, this bubble bar will fill your bath with a hot, floral brew with uplifting neroli and rosewood oils, including exotic blue cornflowers, sunny orange flower absolute and rich rosewood.
Rose Bombshell £3.95
One of the prettiest bath bombs around, this one is in candy pink and mint green shades (my favourite!). As the bath bomb fizzes, the outer shell breaks away and petals burst our in a sweet haze of Sicilian lemon and floral geranium oils.
Ladybird Bubble Bar £3.95
Another cutie, this Ladybird Bubble Bar is full of fruitiness, as well of course, as looking super sweet! It contains peppermint oil to cool and invigorate as well as geranium oil to tone and balance the skin.
Yummy Mummy Shower Gel £4.95
This vivid violet coloured shower gel contains a sweet blend of Brazilian orange and geranium oils to give your special one some pampering time. It is a rich shower gel, with luxurious essential oils to hydrate and soften the skin. You can check out Lush here.
Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oils £18 Each
I first discovered the Clarins Lip Oils when watching one of Zoella’s Youtube videos and as a Clarins fan, I knew I would enjoy them. These sweet oils are available in Honey and Raspberry, and as well as having a sheer tint to them in their respective colours, they also smell like them too!
They are a lip care treatment infused with all the power of plant oils to nourish and enhance your lips’ natural beauty. They aren’t at all sticky or greasy, and are applied with a large pad-like applicator which covers the lips wonderfully. These are definitely a touch of luxury and are available at Clarins here.
Doris & Co Beloved Mug £19.95 and Sugar Plum Little Mug £12.95
These stunning mugs from Doris & Co make the perfect gifts, as they come presented in beautiful gift boxes, tissue paper and even a Clipper teabag! Ready for the perfect brew! As some of you may know, I have a six year old Goddaughter Willow, who I try and spend as much time with as possible, and as a Godmother, I think it would be really fun to treat both myself and Willow this Mothers Day.
The Beloved half pint mug has a gorgeous grey floral fanned design with BELOVED across the front and the Little Mug has Sugar Plum written across the front, in a pretty pinky lilac shade and floral pattern. At six years old Willow doesn’t drink tea, but when she comes to my house, she loves to have her very own cup or mug, and now she is a big girl at six, I think she would love this smaller version of my Beloved mug to drink her milk or hot chocolate from, so I am going to keep this at my house for when she visits.
You can check out the many pretty designs at Doris & Co online here.
Amara Living: Kate Spade Notebook £24 and Ted Baker Mini Pens £16.95
Amara Living sell the most beautiful homeware and gift ranges around, by lots of amazing brands and I picked out these two products which I thought would make perfect Mothers Day gifts.
This Kate Spade notebook is a stunning turquoise colour, with a luxurious gilded edge and has lots of lovely thick, quality lined pages inside and an elasticated band to keep it closed. It also includes a little pocket at the back of the notebook to store odds and ends. On the front, it has ‘It’s What’s Inside That Counts’ in gold script, which I think is a sweet little quote for a gift, and inside it also has a ribbon bookmark for keeping track of important notes. Kate Spade is one of my favourite fashion designers, and their stationery range is one of the best.
The Ted Baker Mini Pen Set is just adorable – it includes three little pens, in hot pink, lilac and coral – some of my favourite colours. They are the perfect size for a handbag, purse or pocket and each one has a different slogan – Pink has Hot to Jot, Lilac has Quick Note and Coral has Notes to Self. They come gift boxed too, so you could simply tie a ribbon around them and you are good to go! You can check out Amara Living here.
Beauty Kitchen Create Your Own Lip Balm Kit £15 and Natural Salt Soap £5
Beauty Kitchen produce such fun gift ideas, and their Create Your Own Lip Balm Kit is no exception – it comes in what looks like a soup can, with a ring pull lid and includes everything you need to make 4 tins of lip balm (tins are included). I think this would be a really good project to do with someone special and the result is two glittery lip balms each, making it a gift within a gift!
The Himalayan Heart Natural Salt Soap is a soap like no other I have come across. When you take it out of the pretty pink pouch, it is a rose quartz coloured heart shape soap that looks and feels more like a large piece of rose quartz stone. It looks and feels so beautiful, as well as the salt giving it a cooling effect. Another great gift for those on a budget. You can check out Beauty Kitchen online here.
Evans Lichfield Butterfly Canvas and Cushion
Evans Lichfield produce an array of stunning homeware, including these pretty cushions and canvasses. The Canvas is of a high quality with a beautiful pink butterfly, adorned with greenery and lavender, as well as a smaller butterfly in flight. If your loved one loves her homeware, this would look beautiful in a bedroom or lounge, and as you can get matching cushions, if you have a sibling, they could choose one or the other to equal the perfect homeware duo.
The cushion is rectangle in shape, with a cream linen feel on the front, adorned with four of the very pretty pink butterflies, lavender and greenery. The print has a watercolour feel to it, with pink piping around the edge of the cushion and that same pink covering the back of the cushion. The actual cushion inside the cover is firm, but soft, making it a gorgeous place to rest your head. You can check out the other Evans Lichfield collections online here.
Baylis & Harding Limited Edition Candle Trio and Love Heart Gift Set
Ooh more rose gold and pink colours! This time in the shape of the Baylis & Harding Luxury Fragranced Candle Trio. The candles are packaged in a pretty gift box, and inside are three candles – two in a chrome silver pot and one in a chrome pink pot – each with a burn time of ten hours – making a total of thirty hours of scrummy candle scents.
The Baylis & Harding Love Heart Gift Set is a beautiful large love heart, ribboned box with five pretty products inside – all in the fragrance of Pink Magnolia and Pear Blossom. Included in the set are a pot of bath soak crystals, a tub of body butter, a tube of body wash, a bottle of moisturising body lotion and lastly a bottle of shower cream, making it the ultimate pampering gift. You can check out Baylis & Harding here.
Santoro Gorjuss Glass Tile Trinket Box £19.99
One of my favourite gift ranges is the Gorjuss range by Santoro and I love their Ruby character – she is sat on a swing with her cat in her lap and as you know I do love my cats! This fabulous trinket box is a much bigger size than what I normally think a trinket box to be, and I think it would be perfect for a jewellery box too as it has a velvet-style lining inside to protect those treasures. It has a cute little antique fastening, a cream, rustic style base and a glass tile on the front featuring my favourite Gorjuss character Ruby. You can check this trinket box out online at Santoro here.
Kahina Giving Beauty Fez Body Serum £22 and Lip & Face Balm £30
New to me is the Kahina luxury skincare range and as mentioned earlier, what better gift to a woman could luxury skincare be? The Fez Body Serum is a sensual and exotic complex blend of steam distilled essential oils and this moisturising body oil is rich in vitamin E to replenish and restore dry skin and leave it feeling velvety smooth.
The Lip & Face Balm soothes and protects chapped lips and dry skin, making it the perfect must-have restorative treatment balm. It comes in a little pot which is perfect for popping in your handbag, make up bag or travel bag to keep the skin calm and soothed. It smells heavenly and is delicately scented with geranium and neroli. You can check out Kahina Giving Beauty online here.
Sass & Belle Set of 3 British Bird Suitcases £20
As a beauty lover, I often need lots of storage for all of my products, and this set of three suitcases make storage beautiful! They are adorned with lots of different British Birds, with leatherette handles and vintage bronzed clasps to open and close each one. The smallest would be great for carrying make-up and toiletries whilst travelling, or if you aren’t as into makeup as I am, they are also perfect for stationery, arts and crafts, and much more. You can check them out at Sass & Belle online here.
Freeman Beauty UK Face Masks £1.50 Each
If your budget isn’t all that big, fear not, these face masks from Freeman Beauty are the perfect choice. They come in a variety of skincare problems, including the Diamond Mineral Rinse Mask for all skin types to boost brilliance and radiance, and the Honeydew and Chamomile Sleeping Mask to hydrate and smooth the skin. You can check out the full range at Freeman Beauty online here.
Joy The Store Mason Jar Candle £12
I love this vintage-style mason jar, which holds a large candle fragranced with Papaya Smoothie. It is naturally coloured and so will fit in with all interior colour schemes, making it a great gift for someone to use in any room they please. The lid simply screws off so that you can light the candle and fragrance your room with its gorgeous creamy fruity scent. You can check this Mason Jar Candle out at Joy The Store online here.
