Leading with the Mattanol remix. One of our fave French producers picked up the vocals from Chromeo’s ‘Jealous’ remix contest. No winning the contest (yet), but the remix is glorious nevertheless.
Above is one of the producers we keep posting about, same goes for Manicanparty. The NYC duo is sharing a new track this week, beautiful and different the their previous work. With so many good tracks we’re only wondering when they’ve got an album to drop.
Seems to be a thing for producers to oftenly refer to edits and remixes as flips. So here’s a new flip by Wantigga on Dwele’s ‘Lady’. Throwing in an extra tip here, Wantigga recently did a mix for DJ Mag that’s very much worth a listen: Hear it.
Internet music legend The Weeknd layed down one of last week’s most popular tracks. ‘King Of The Fall’ is just another masterpiece in a recent outbreak of new Weeknd material.
Parisian project Cajoline release a late remix on Miami Horror’s summer anthem ‘Real Slow’. Sturdy disco imagination of the original version, perfect tool for mixes.
One of the most active channels currently putting out free downloads (with artist permission) has to be XLR8R. In the usual stream of inteligent, sometimes even experimental dance music there’s usually a few good tracks every day. Last week this Just Kiddin remix on Bipolar Sunshine took the cake. Slick house rework.
There has been a connection there between Amsterdam duo Detroit Swindle and Michigan’s Mayer Hawthorne. Hawthorne appeared on Detroit Swing’s debut album this spring. This week there’s a new track by both acts: Mayer Hawthorne’s ‘The Stars Are Ours’ gets remix by Detroit Swindle. Pure house track.
