Taylor is a native Iowan and resident of West Des Moines.  He represents House District 44 in the Iowa State House, which includes portions of Clive, Waukee and West Des Moines. Representative Taylor serves as vice chair of the education appropriations committee and environmental protection committee. He also serves on the commerce, human resources, and economic development committees. Representative Taylor and his wife, Dr. Christi Taylor, live in West Des Moines with their 4 children.  Rob is a sales director & consultant for a petroleum distributor in central Iowa as well as a adjunct professor at William Penn University and Des Moines Area Community College. Rob coaches for Walnut Creek Little League and serves various local charities including The Iowa Clinic Healthcare Foundation, John Stoddard Rally Against Cancer and Bras for the Cause.
