I’m back with another new launch for review today, the new Maybelline Lip Gradation lip pencils. Maybelline has been launching new products back to back these days, and I picked up the shade Fuchsia from this range for review. Read on for all the details and video!
About Maybelline Lip Gradation- Fuchsia: It’s time to experiment with your lip makeup. For the sexy, bold and adventurous woman, Maybelline New York brings international trends with the newest Lip Gradation. Available in 8 bright, matte shades, this double-sided lip product will inspire you to experiment with your looks and bring out your unique style and personality. The color stick at one end will give a gorgeous pop of color while the cushion blender tool at the other end will give a sexy, graded look. For a complete trend-on look, apply color on the centre of your upper lip and use the sponge smudger to extend the color to the outer edges till the contours of your lips or use it as a matte lip color or a lip liner.
Packaging: It is a slim, twist-up crayon like packaging, with a sponge tip blender at the tail end. Easy to carry in the purse.
My take on Maybelline Lip Gradation- Fuchsia: I have been loving this lip product for the past few days. It has a feathery application, and gives very good color payoff on the lips in a single pass. I’m not a fan of the sponge tip applicator concept, since a stained applicator in my bag is something I don’t fancy. The finish is a soft matte on the lips, and it does not dry out the lips despite being a matte lip color. You don’t need a lip balm for bout 2.5 hours post application, and the lip product does not leave your lips dry and flaky. It stays put for about 4 hours, and thereafter fades, leaving behind a pinky stain on the lips.
The shade Fuchsia is a cool toned Fuchsia, and surprisingly is very flattering on my medium skin tone. Gives me good coverage on my pigmented lips, and does not need layering.
The product has been launched in 8 shades in India.

Verdict: For a price of Rs. 500, and the fact that it is a matte lip color, I think it is a very nice product to try. Thumbs up!!
