Hey everyone!

Summers are in full swing now, and wearing a full-fledged foundation is not feasible all the time. Sometimes, you just don’t feel like, ya know! In come the BB and CC creams. Now, BB creams are kinda out, in the ever-changing world of makeup. CC creams are the new in-thing- basically aiming at color-correction of the skin’s imperfections while offering sheer, natural looking coverage. Read on to know my take on the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream in shade no.-34 Bronze.

Price: Rs. 710 for 30mL.

About Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream-34: The next generation of foundation! Combining:

THE COLOUR CORRECTION OF A FOUNDATION: Thanks to its 3 colour correcting pigments that smooth away imperfections

APRICOT pigments > anti-fatigue

GREEN pigments > anti-redness

WHITE pigments > anti-dark spots

THE SKINCARE ACTION OF A CREAM: 24 hr hydration. SPF 15

Result: luminous complexion & flawless skin in one step.

Packaging: The packaging is a simple beige colored tube with a squeezy nozzle. The tube has a black cap. It is simple and travel friendly.

My take on Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream-34: Bronze is the darkest shade of the 3 shades available in this range- and as you can see, it will suit upto medium skintones only. The shade is a wee bit light for me, but it adjusts with my skintone within 2-3 minutes of application and looks ok thereafter. I wish there were other darker shades too in this range.

The CC cream has a runny, liquidy consistency, with a smooth texture. It is easy to apply, though it needs some extra blending work to not look patchy on the skin. I apply it with finger-tips, and then buff it out with Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki brush for flawless finish. Once set, this CC cream does not budge. So much so that it is totally waterproof too! It does brighten up the complexion a bit, and offers medium coverage, which can also be built up a bit. As far as the color correction claims go- I so think it works. The orange pigments correct the darkness around my chin, the green pigments cancel any redness around the active acne or otherwise, and I’ve already said that it brightens the face a bit.

The CC cream lasts on me for about 6-8 hours. I have oily skin and the cream keeps me shine free for about 2 hours, and then I need to touch-up with a compact, but that’s something I’ve taken into my stride, since my skin issss that way. It has a mild, kinda floral fragrance, which doesn’t stay for long.

Overall, I think this is a good product to try in summers, provided you find a shade match. It works for my oily skin, and will work for combination skin too. Those with dry skin may need a hydrating moisturiser underneath.

In the below pic, I am just wearing this CC cream on my face- you can still see some marks on the nose and cheek, but that’s about it.

{On my lips: Revlon Matte Balm- Sultry}

Unfortunately, I have tanned quite a bit during the recent holiday, and this shade no more suits me. Any takers?
