Famed producer Rodney Jerkins is celebrating his 20th anniversary in the songs business by recruiting brand-new musicians and artists to pay for several of their biggest hits. Among the first tracks is a planned remake regarding the 1998 Monica and Brandy classic "The Boy Is Mine"….with Ariana Grande and Jessie J.  You read that right.

He will additionally redo Whitney Houston’s “It’s maybe not Right But It’s Okay” with “Stay With Me” crooner Sam Smith. Sam is quite worked up about the task. During a talk with Hits everyday dual, Rodney relayed Sam’s response saying:

“Sam explained [that] was the track that made him want to sing. When I requested him if he’d be an integral part of this task, he was like, ‘nobody else can do that track but myself!’

Alrighty after that….are all of us excited that several of R&B’s biggest hits are receiving the re-do by a few of today’s hottest (non-Black) musicians and artists? Perhaps Rodney can recruit Justin Bieber to remake "Say the Name" or Taylor Swift for "he had beenn’t guy Enough"?  Since we’re going down this road and all…

As Nelly hits the promo trail for their upcoming docu-series Nellyville on BET (Nov. 25 at 10:30PM ET) he is needed to respond to some lighter moments concerns from interviewers about their kids.  During a chat with PEOPLE, the rapper talked about the two fold standard of offering the sex speak with daughters vs. sons.  Features:

On giving the sex speak to his daughter:
simply say no. All boys tend to be scum.

On giving the intercourse keep in touch with his son:
Got for this! What exactly are you waiting on?!

He admits, “There is a double standard. In terms of kids being around my girl, i am a proud person in the NRA. I give em a company handshake, take him out back, let him begin to see the land and in which he is able to be hidden!"
