Valentine’s Day will be here in less than two weeks, and if you’re looking for some creative couples ideas, I’m here to help! If you’re single, and you’re not too keen on Valentine’s Day, I’m also here to help you make the most of that day. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at some romantic or fun things you can do on that day.

Couples

1. Truth Or Dare

You can each write out five dares — anything from trying on a sexy outfit to stripping to anything that pleases your mind — on pieces of paper. Then place them in a bowl, and take turns asking each other naughty questions like, “If you could have sex anywhere on this planet, where would it be? or stuff about fantasies, etc.. If you don’t answer the question, you have to grab a dare from the bowl.

2. Make A Book

Why not make a book about why you love your partner? It can just be a few pages (or a lot of pages) and it can include everything from photos to poems to words that come to mind when you think of this person. Gifts don’t have to be expensive, and something that comes from your heart is priceless, in my opinion.

3. Scavenger Hunt

You can take your sweetie on a scavenger hunt. Ask him or her to answer some riddles to find clues to items you placed all over town, and the last riddle should give instructions that lead to your Valentine’s Day (or night) activities. You can get as creative as you want with the riddles, and you can even have the scavenger hunt just in your house.

4. Roses With A Little Something Extra

You’ve probably given your girlfriend or wife roses before, but here’s a great idea to add a little bit of fun to things. On each stem of the dozen roses you can attach a note for a future date (something that she would enjoy doing or has always wanted to do). For example, on one note you can write “Go to a ballet” or “Take a cooking class together.”

5. Care Packages

Say for whatever reason you’re miles apart from the person that completes you. A great idea would be to send that person a care package full of only red or pink things, and have it arrive in time for Valentine’s Day.

6. Recreate Your First Date

Recreate everything from what you ate to where you went to even what you wore (or something really close to it). And then throughout the evening tell each other reasons you’re thankful this person is in your life. Doing something like this can help spark the feelings that brought the two of you together.

7. Make Valentine’s Day Something Unique

Sure, you might cook together on a regular basis, but why not make a special meal together on Valentine’s Day? It can be an aphrodisiac theme or it can even be something like “this is what we had on our first date theme.” You can also infuse the meal with “love.” For example, you can put the french fries on your plate in a heart shape or you can make cookies that say “I luv you” written on them. After that you can watch a romantic movie that you’ll only watch on that day or take a bubble bath together with a particular scent that’s reserved for that day or book a special couples treatment at a local spa.

Singles

1. Gather Up Your Other Single Girlfriends

Make it a movie night with all of your single friends, and watch stuff that’s anti-romantic. This is not a sappy chick flick night. Or you can make it a movie night where you pick one actor that all of you love and watch a few of his movies back to back.

2. Anti-Valentine’s Day Theme Party

You can use all black decorations and make it a “Love hurts” party theme. You can have no flowers, no candy, and no cards.

3. Spend Time Helping Out

Maybe take the focus off yourself, and help out at a soup kitchen or an animal shelter or a senior citizen home, etc… You’ll feel good, and you might learn a thing or two by being at those places.

4. Ask A Girl Or Guy Friend Out For A Platonic Date

Sometimes seeing a movie or eating dinner in the company of a platonic friend of the opposite sex is better than spending the day with your single friends who constantly remind you and themselves that you’re all single.

5. Hand Out Candy To People

I’m not saying that you should hand out candy to just anyone, but say for example that you work in a bookstore. You could maybe hand out a Hershey’s Kiss to customers that looks really sad or stressed out. Who knows? You may really brighten their day. Or say for example, you work at a hospital. Maybe you can hand out candy to some people who really look like they could use a smile. Or if you don’t want to hand out candy, you can hand out something else.

6. Learn Something New

Maybe you’ve always wanted to learn kick boxing or cooking. Sign up for a class that takes place on that day, and not only will you have a great time but you might make some amazing new friends or even find romance.

I hope these suggestions help make your Valentine’s Day more special, and feel free to adjust them to your liking.
