We’ve got the lowdown on haunted houses, trick-or-treat events, family-friendly festivals, zombie walks and more things to do for Halloween in Phoenix!

Mortimer Family Farms Pumpkin Fest and Corn Maze: October 17-19, 24-26

Get lost in a 25-acre corn maze and pick a special pumpkin out of the 15-acre pumpkin patch at Mortimer Family Farms. Participate in the festival fun and play games, do farm activities, watch live entertainment, dance in the barn, and lots more.

Grand Canyon Railway’s Pumpkin Patch Train: Through October 26

Dress up in your favorite festive Halloween costume and join the enchanting train ride to a secret pumpkin patch only accessible by train. Then pick a personal pumpkin of your choice and decorate and craft it back at the Williams Depot where you can walk through a haunted train car and a hay bale maze.

AZ Field of Screams: Through October 31

Do you dare? Explore the AZ Field of Screams and show how brave you are by escaping the terror of the haunted cornfield maze. Get scared with friends and family and have a screaming good time.

13th Floor Haunted House: Through November 2, 7-8

Created by nationally-recognized and award-winning haunted house designers, the 13th Floor will transport you to new levels of horror. Prepare to be terrified by two epic haunted attraction walkthroughs, Zombieland: Lockdown and Dwellings of the Dead, for one all-inclusive price. The 13th Floor is an intense, graphic, theatrical show that will take you on a gut wrenching ride of visceral thrills and psychological horror.

The Gauntlet Haunted House: Thursday-Saturday through November 1

The Gauntlet is one of Arizona’s award-winning haunted houses. The Gauntlet is a terrifying maze full of heart-pounding terror. The multi-level haunted house contains ground-breaking special effects, animatronics and skilled actors.

Fall Festival at Vertuccio Farms: Through November 2

Ride the new grain train at the family-friendly Vertuccio Farms Fall Festival. See the farm animals, race rubber ducks, slide down the giant tube slide, climb like a spider in the web rope climb and more.

Pumpkin Days and Corn Maze at Tolmachoff Farms: Through November 9

At this family-friendly farm festival, guests get to investigate haunted corn mazes, take a train ride, climb the hay pyramid, or feed farm animals.

Boo! at the Zoo: October 20-26

Spend a fun-filled week with the zoo as they celebrate Halloween. There will be games, music, pumpkin patches, a scarecrow straw maze, dancing and plenty of treats for kids and animals alike! Boo at the Zoo is geared for children age 7 and under.

Great Pumpkin Festival: October 23-26

Join the Desert Botanical Garden for this annual autumn event where guests can find the perfect pumpkin, make their way through the hay bale maze, visit the petting zoo, enjoy live music and more.

Desert Overture Concert: Incantations: October 24

A symphony will transform itself into a spooky zombie band bringing the event to life while you dance to creepy classics such as “Thriller” and “Time Warp”. There will be prizes for best costume!

Poefest at the Hotel San Carlos: October 24-25

A month-long celebration of the works of Edgar Allen Poe and other horror authors of the era, Poefest presents performances of short stories and poems performed in character by actors. The performances exhibit detailed descriptions of intense acts and Hollywood gore sure to spook the audience.

Halloween Balloon Spooktacular: October 24-25

At the Salt River Fields Halloween Balloon Spooktacular, more than 20 hot air balloons will light up the sky while two tons of candy are passed out to trick-or-treaters. Festivities also include live music, food, tethered balloon rides and more.

Howl-O-Ween at the Phoenix Zoo: October 24-25

Haunted attractions include zombies, witches, vampires and other frightening characters hiding around every corner. Sneak through the Fields of Fear and be careful not to awaken what is lurking inside. Test your luck against the creepy clowns of the Monster Midway and dare to enter the Vampire Manor. Enjoy other haunted activities, DJ music and much more. This event is recommended for ages 8 and up.

Ghostfest Improv Marathon: October 24-26

With 100 non-stop improv shows, be in the spirit as you watch the Ghostfest haunt the Torch Theatre.

Scottsdale Fall Festival: October 25

Adventure through the haunted forest, win candy at game booths, and enter in one of the many contests for costumes and decorating pumpkins at the Scottsdale Fall Festival. The night caps off with a fireworks show.

Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror: October 25

See the symphony of horror and watch the popular silent film Nosferatu as it is summoned to life with a live orchestra. Taking place at the Tempe Center of the Art, be a part of the entertainment as it becomes the Halloween tradition of the valley.

Zombie Walk 6: October 25

Have you been practicing your zombie walk? Slump and limp your way through the heart of downtown Phoenix with the fellow zombie community. After the two-mile zombie movement, the best zombie costume will be crowned as king or queen of the dead. Feed your zombie appetite and visit the food venders and beer gardens for a deadly fill.

Cave Creek Wicked: October 25

Join Cave Creek Wicked for its all day and night Halloween event. Bring family, friends, and pets to compete in the costume and pie eating contests. Watch or participate in the zombie walk and the gears and ghosts bike ride to see all the creative costumes as you make your way to the zombie ball. See the live entertainment, psychic readers, make-up artists, tattoo artists, laser show, and food trucks for a spooky dinner at the Zombie Ball.

Autumnfest at Anthem: October 25-26

Celebrate all things fall at the community’s Autumnfest. Immerse yourself in the fall-flavored festivities including arts and crafts vendors, carnival rides, pumpkin picking, and live entertainment. And for all the bakers and pie lovers, bring your most delicious apple pie and participate in the banking contest and win a prize along with bragging rights.

Dia de los Muertos Festival: October 25-26

At the Mesa Arts Center, the Day of the Dead festival will feature live entertainment along with other performances. Authentic foods, jewelry, and arts and crafts will be exhibited during the festival in a vibrant mercado showcasing an assortment of Dia de los Muertos merchandise.

Adora Trails Halloween Treat Street: October 29

With many activities taking place, Adora Trails Halloween Treat Street gives trick-or-treaters and Halloween goers a night of revelry. The Treat Street features carnival games, a petting zoo, bounce houses, food and refreshments, and obstacle courses that will put your Halloween spirit to the test. In addition, be a part of the festive magic and see the magician performance, face painting, balloon artist and stilt walkers as they tower over the fun-filled event.

Schnepf Farms’ Pumpkin and Chili Party: October 30 – November 2

Enjoy seasonal cuisine at the Pumpkin and Chili Party at Schnepf Farms’. Celebrate the season with festive activities such as corn mazes, kids rides, mini golf, hayrides and a petting zoo. Find the perfect pumpkin at the farm patch and root for a contender at the pig races while you enjoy the outdoors.

Bowlloween at Lucky Strike Lanes: October 31

Gear up in your Halloween best and compete for the cash prize of the costume contest at Lucky Strike Lanes. Festive Halloween goers will enjoy DJs, spooky dancers, and bowling throughout the celebration. Complimentary tricks and treats will be provided to keep spirits alive.

Midnight Mayhem: Ghouls Night Out at Hotel Valley Ho: October 31

Show off your spectacular Halloween costume and compete for the ultimate cash prize at the Midnight Mayhem: Ghouls Night Out at the Hotel Valley Ho. The event will have internationally known DJs keeping the party alive in a tag team performance.

Haunted Hotel Ball: October 31 – November 1

Dance the night away at the Haunted Hotel Ball at the Saguaro in Old Town Scottsdale. Dress to scare with creative costumes and get festive with the adult fantasy and fun festivities. The party doesn’t stop during the two day event with multiple parties to wake the living dead. Even take a disguised swim at the Masquerade pool party and survive the night of fun.

Phoenix FearCON: November 1-2

A festive favorite, FearCON exhibits independent horror films mixed in with sideline entertainment, celebrity signings, discussions with film makers, and a variety of horror displays. There will be special workshops featuring special FX artists, zombie choreographers, zombie runway fashion shows, and a live concert. Enjoy a meal from food trucks and merchandise from horror vendors of every themed variety.
