No need to leave your favorite pooch at home when visiting Phoenix. These are some of the pet-friendly programs at local resorts and hotels where your four-legged friend can get pampered along with you.

Canyon Suites at the Phoenician

The five-star perks at the Canyon Suites at The Phoenician are extended to canine guests, too. Your pooch will be pampered with welcome amenities including a natural treat and an eco-friendly toy. Skip the canned food and treat your pet to freshly-made fare delivered to your door via room service. You'll be helping a good cause, too, because 10 percent of room service sales from the first year of the program will be donated to the Arizona Humane Society to aid homeless, ill and injured animals.

The Boulders “Paws” Program

The Boulders has plenty of pampering in store for pooches, and felines too, as part of its expanded PAWS program. The package includes a Boulders dog bandana; a cozy pet bed placed in room upon arrival along with a pet bowl filled with food; bottled water served in room for the pet guest; yummy pet treats; doggie “poo poo” bags for discreet clean-ups on walks; and a “Do Not Disturb the Dog” sign for the door knob for doggie and cat naps. The PAWS program also includes a gourmet pet food room service menu.

The PAWS program is open to pets weighing less than 35 pounds and a maximum of two pets per accommodation is allowed.

Pet-Friendly Pampering at Hermosa Inn

The Hermosa Inn invites you to bring your pup along for your next visit. Besides pet-friendly hotel grounds and available dog bowls and beds, take advantage of the Pet Package which includes a one-night stay for two in a casita, deluxe casita or grande casita; a welcome amenity of fruit and water and dog treats; breakfast in bed for two in the morning, plus breakfast for the furry one; a 60-minute massage for humans and a canine massage; a doggie "tuck-me-in-at-night" movie; and a dog bed and bowl to be placed in room.
