It's okay, Taylor Swift. At least you have the support of Lady Gaga.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, former Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher made his feelings toward the world’s best selling solo artist very clear, telling the publication that pop music in general is "f-cking awful."
What about Swift? Who many see as a "talented songwriter," the author asked? Gallagher laughed and replied:
“Who says that? Her parents?"
Gallagher went on to say that anyone who believe Swift has talent is "f-cking lying" and added:
"She seems like a nice girl, but no one has ever said those words, and you f-cking know it.”
If it makes Taylor feel any better, however, she wasn't the only musician at whom Gallagher aimed his vitriol.
Kanye West is “a character, I’ll give him that,” the artist said. “But somebody needs to buy that dumbass a dictionary so he can look up the word artistry."
Gallagher was referencing Kanye's attack against Beck after the Grammys, in which the rapper claimed that ceremony does not respect true artists and that Beyonce should have won Album of the Year.
"Beck can play the banjo, for f-ck’s sake,” said Gallagher. “Nobody plays the banjo! Get [Kanye] a dictionary from me, I’ll f-ckin’ sign it and give it to him so he can look it up."
West has since apologized to Beck for his diss.
Why do we somehow doubt Noel Gallagher will be doing the same?
