Kick off 2016 with this list of Healthy Living Blogs to Inspire You This New Year! 11 of my favorite bloggers, vloggers, podcasters and influencers who are kicking butt in the health community.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! So far so good on 2016.

There’s been so many recipes around here lately and everyone else is chatting all things New Years Resolutions that I thought I would change things up today.

Part of the reason why I started The Healthy Maven was because of how much I loved reading blogs. Admittedly, I don’t have as much time anymore to read them as I used to (I miss my Saturday morning bloglovin’ sessions!), but there are still some that I love catching up on when I can.

I’m certain many of you are hoping to go into 2016 with a fresh slate. I’m certainly not against New Years goals, but I prefer to focus on adopting a healthier lifestyle at a pace that feels right for you, not just throwing caution to the wind and hoping for the best.

That being said, one of the best ways to help you get on track (and hopefully stay on it) is to surround yourself with people who inspire you. I mean this as much IRL as I do on the internet.

An attitude I’ve adopted recently is to fill my feeds with people that inspire me in some capacity. Social Media gets a lot of flack for being a negative thing, but I think if used appropriately, it can do a lot of good. Just remember, people are allowed to inspire you but not make you aspire to be something you’re not.

Here are some of my favorite bloggers, vloggers, podcasters and influencers who are inspiring me this New Year!

Fit Foodie Finds

Who here is surprised that I’m kicking off this list with Lee? Besides her being my bestie and blogging partner, Lee’s blog has always been a huge inspiration to me. She posts kick-ass workouts and is the queen of easy, one-pot dinners. Her casserole bakes are a staple in our home.

Pumps and Iron

I’ve been following Nicole’s blog for years. Her workouts are killer (I mean I’m literally on the floor of my apartment heaving and my muscles are always sore after) and she’s also a guru of workout clothes. I also appreciate her sense of humor and despite motivating others to be a bit healthier, she doesn’t take herself too seriously. I kind of, seriously want to be her friend.

Hummusapien

Alexis has been a friend of mine for a long time now and I’m certifiably obsessed with her. She’s one of the few blogs I actually read (she’s hilarious!) and I love love love her plant-based recipes. She has been a huge inspiration in helping me to adopt a less meat-heavy and more plant-loving diet. Oh and she’s an RD, giving her some serious street-cred.

Almost Getting it Together

From the start, Cassie has been open and honest about the trials and tribulations of being a twenty-something just trying to figure it all out. I could relate so much to her journey and it’s probably the reason why I basically poached her as a friend. From healthy recipes, to running,to moving your life across the country, you can always count on Cass to say it how it is.

Lexi’s Clean Kitchen

Lexi is a goddess in the kitchen. Her recipes are always amazing and super creative too. I know how much love and work goes into her recipe creations so you can count on her to feed your life. Over the past 2.5 years she’s also become a really good friend and I’m obsessed with how much sass and spunk is packed into such a tiny person. She also makes a mean cocktail!

HealthNut Nutrition

Nikky introduced me to the world of YouTubers and the healthy living community on YouTube. She’s also the real deal, which I can say with 100% certainty because she’s become one of my really good friends in real life. She has a really balanced approach to health and life, which I’ve admired since I met her last year. I’m really excited to watch her channel grow and continue to inspire thousands this year!

The Wellness Wonderland

I met Katie through Nikky and she is probably best know for her Podcast, The Wellness Wonderland. She’s also influential all over the interwebs, but it’s her podcast is what reeled me in and it’s my go-to when I’m struggling with something and need sound advice on how to work through it. Katie talks about health in all its capacities, physical, mental, emotional and has incredible interviews with influencers who are making a difference in the health community.

Back to her Roots

When I think of Cassie I immediately equate her with genuineness and positivity. She’s been open and vulnerable on her blog since the day she started it and I’ve loved watching her take leaps of faith and share how’s she’s finding her bliss in her country girl roots. She also makes me want to move to a farm in Indiana…

Fitness Blender

Not exactly a blog, but Daniel and Kelli run a workout site and epic YouTube channel. Their workouts are amazing and vast, but I also love following them on Instagram. I find them to be unlike other fitness sites who try to convince me I can have a Victoria Secret butt and 6-pack abs. They’re on a mission to get people moving, in whatever capacity they can and I’ve really admired this since I found their site a few years ago.

UP-AND-COMERS!

I wanted to highlight a few bloggers who are killing it and I’m stoked to watch them grow over the next year. Big things coming from these ladies!

Nourish Move Love

First of all, Lindsey is Minnesotan which already makes me obsessed with her. She’s also blowing up on the interwebs by sharing her workout tips, healthy recipes and spiritual guidance to truly nourish, move and love. I cannot wait to see what 2016 brings for this lady!

In It 4 The Long Run

Georgie has been on the scene for a little while now but she just quit her full-time job to take on the blog full-time. Georgie is a super talented designer and photographer in addition to her skills in the kitchen. She’s also an incredibly supportive and encouraging member of the blogging community. Watch out blogosphere, this lady is taking over!
