No one will ever be able to accuse me of not getting my money’s worth out of something I buy.

No, not me!

Today, we are going to talk about water bottles.  Safe, BPA-free water bottles for everyday usage.

My boy’s each have a BPA-free plastic water bottle I purchased from Whole Foods.

I keep them filled with distilled water and multiple times throughout the day, every day, day after day, for a whole year they drank from their trusty bottles.

Well, after a year, those poor little bottles have finally given out on me.  I began to hear a chorus of “mother, we need new water bottles” every time they went to use them.

It was time to say goodbye.

Just look at the small blue one on the left….the top is cracked and about to fall off!  If you look closely, the cap on the red one is cracked too, but not as bad.

I got my Lifefactory bottle the same time I bought their old ones and, while their bottles have cracked and broke within a years time, mine is still in like-new condition and going strong!

I have been so pleased with mine and what I love most of all about these bottles is they are made of GLASS, are easy to clean and are durable.

Since I already had a Lifefactory bottle for myself (in lime green), I knew without a doubt what I would be buying to replace their old ones….Lifefactory bottles!

Here are some features of the bottles:

Healthy and safe material that contains no BPA, PVC or phthalates

Offers the purest and cleanest taste

No flavor transfers from plastics or metals

Glass is clear and easy to clean

Dishwasher safe

Product Description from Amazon:

“Lifefactory creates innovative, non-toxic products that make it easy to lead a healthy and eco-conscious lifestyle. They fuse modern sensibility and composition and exceptional utility to produce a glass beverage bottle that is free of known harmful chemicals such as BPA, phthalate, PVC, and polycarbonate. All materials are FDA approved. The unique patent pending silicone sleeve is free of plastics, 100% non-toxic, provides a great gripping surface and helps prevent breakage. The benefit of using a glass beverage bottle is that there is no risk of chemicals leaching into your drink and no metallic taste. The widemouth bottle design makes it easy to add ice, citrus slices, tea bags, etc. Beverage bottles are easy clean and dishwasher safe (the glass bottle and silicone sleeve can also be washed together in the dishwasher). Each bottle holds 22 ounces (650ml) and measures 3.125 x 3.125 x 10.5 inches. Available in 6 great colors!”

They come in several different sizes, many colors and even two different cap options.

My boy’s are the 16 ounce versions with the “flip-top” cap because that is the same type of cap they had on their old bottles.  I’ve read some reviews that said the flip-top caps were not good when transporting the bottles (to the gym, to work, outdoors, etc) because they could spill or leak if knocked over.  But, that really wasn’t a concern for me because they will be keeping them in the refrigerator and not using them “on the go”.

The one I use is the 22 ounce version with a “screw top”.  I also keep mine in the refrigerator to drink distilled water throughout the day but unscrew the lid and use a stainless steel straw when drinking from mine.  I’ve always preferred to drink from a straw than straight from a glass, so the screw top works for me.  You can get replacement caps and I might switch to the “flip-top” cap at some time, but for now I’m good with my stainless steel straw which you can barely see  inside my lime green bottle on the right.

If you think you want to try out one of these awesome bottles, you can order them online from Amazon and have them delivered straight to your door.

I ordered a 2-pack, got the aqua and navy ones together and my order was eligible for free-shipping from Amazon.

I also got this handy bottle brush that I use to clean our water bottles and our Aquasana glass juice bottles.

Don’t forget, they have regular screw caps, flip-top caps, numerous colors and even baby bottles and sippy cups!

I have been very happy with our Lifefactory glass water bottles and, so much so, I’m a repeat customer.

Just make sure the water you put into them is clean and toxic-free.  Tap water is the worst thing you could possibly drink.

We use a water distiller to clean our water and if you saw what was in the bottom of the distiller after it has cleaned the tap water, you would NEVER drink tap water again.
