Tommy Hilfiger is taking his women’s spring/summer 2017 show to the West Coast as he debuts his latest collection in Venice Beach, Los Angeles tonight causing further upheaval to the New York Fashion Week schedule. The brand is tapping into the current wave of see-now-buy-now shows with an in-season show featuring immediately shoppable products. As well as the spring 2017 Hilfiger Collection, the show will also debut the brand’s second collaborative collection between Tommy Hilfiger and Gigi Hadid.
As global ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger womenswear, Hadid has featured in a number of brand campaigns and runway shows and has now co-designed two collections as part of the TommyXGigi collaboration. The latest collection is inspired by Gigi’s relaxed Californian lifestyle fused with Tommy Hilfiger’s signature heritage look.
The TommyXGigi collection features everything from a denim trench to a raglan bomber, and jeans, jackets, shoes and bags all emblazoned with on-trend badges and patches. Modern striped swimwear and espadrilles perfect for LA beach days are also included.
