A war is breaking out between the elemental planes and you can participate in it! As of today Rift players can download update 2.4, or Beyond Infinity. Here’s a narrative the writers made for the update:
The Dendrome’s secrets have been revealed: Inyr’Kta, Hive Queen of the Architects, prepares to unleash titan-forged colossi against the planes! Stopping her requires control of the Infinity Gate, the fateful god engine that first drew the Blood Storm to Telara. Aid Uriel and Kira in their race to open the portal, then leave Telara for the Plane of Earth … and a dire reckoning with the forces that lie beyond.
Key features in this update include two new raids, a 5-player dungeon, a new chronicle, an increased PVP rank of 90, Cross-Shard adventures (cross-server for those who are unfamiliar with the game), and new hairstyles and hair colors.
There is also a new type of quest for players up to level 20. It introduces Instant Adventures, Dimensions and the Soul Tree to newcomers without affecting their max quest count.
