I admit it – I am obsessed with cloth diapering. While I was pregnant with my son, I did a lot of research and got a lot of advice from my sister about cloth diapering (the pros, the cons, etc.) and I eventually decided I would be cloth diapering with my son. The amount of money we have saved is incredible! We would go through about 75 diapers per week, and that costs close to $20 per week, $80 a month (in disposables). I have probably spent about $100 in cloth diapers all together (online yard sale sites and cheap cloth diaper sites) but I have saved roughly $240 (I have been cloth diapering for about 3 months) so the diapers have already paid for themselves, and they will continue to pay for themselves until my son grows out of them (when he is about 35 pounds). That being said, I am a HUGE cloth diaper advocate and will talk about them to anyone and everyone!

Simba & Mama (Little Lion Cub) sent me this beautiful (yes, I call my diapers beautiful) cloth diaper and, as expected, I love it. Here’s a little information about Simba & Mama diapers:

One size fits most diaper provides a customizable fit for most babies from 8 to 36 pounds.

Soft suede cloth lining wicks moisture and helps keep baby feeling dry.

Super stretchy leg and back elastic provides gentle yet secure leak protection.

Snaps are durable and easy to use (helping keep diapers on older babies) and waist tabs overlap for extra small waist size.

Diapers are bundled with two microfibre inserts (a newborn insert and an adjustable one-size insert for your older baby), one reusable micro-fleece liner and one mini wet bag.

This is the adorable wet bag that came with the diaper. I love how they match!

Here are the two inserts and the liner along with the diaper.

I decided to put this diaper to the test when my family and I traveled 3 hours away to the Tennessee Aquarium. My son slept the whole way and didn’t wake up once. When we arrived, I changed his diaper. TMI warning! My son had an explosive poop diaper, but the outside of his diaper was dry and nothing escaped! Sometimes it’s hard to avoid a diaper blowing out, but this diaper held it all in and my son didn’t even wake up from being uncomfortable. The inside is wide enough to catch everything, and soft enough that my son hasn’t had any discomfort even with a completely full diaper. I give this diaper 5/5 stars!

Something else I want to point out is that this company cares about others. Buy A Diaper, Give A Diaper.

For every diaper you purchase, Simba & Mama will donate one to a newborn baby and mother of Bali, on your behalf. Isn’t that great?! There are women around the world that cannot afford to diaper their babies, and that is heartbreaking to me.

By choosing a Simba & Mama cloth diaper you are caring for your baby’s health, being kind to our earth and giving back to a mother and baby in need. Change your diaper, Change the world.
