My life as a mom of four can be hard. There isn’t much time left in the day for myself, which I am okay with. I usually have laundry piles waiting to be washed, clean laundry piles waiting to be folded and toys scattered across the floor. My house isn’t always perfectly tidy, well lets be honest it is never perfect but I am okay with that most days. An average day for me is to wake up to amazing little faces who want to cuddle. Usually there are lots of smiles and a few giggles, sometimes a rare tear from one who was awoken a bit too early but usually lots of smiles. I spend the day homeschooling my children, getting to see their little lights going off when something clicks. It is pretty amazing and so stressful at moments.
It wasn’t too long ago that I had just two little ones and my days were spent baking breads and making everything I could from scratch. While I still love baking bread and scratch cooking, I also look for more shortcuts now a days. I am not sure why in my world nap times seem to fall right around the time everyone is starving, but it does. It can get rather stressful to prepare food with a little one fussing because he tends to get louder the longer it takes. Mickey Mouse Club, his favorite toy or one of his siblings only buys me a few minutes at best when he is ready to sleep, so I have to make the most of those minutes.
I know I am not the only mom in my situation, I think a lot of other moms know exactly what I am talking about. This stage doesn’t last forever, but I am ever so thankful that there are companies out there that just “get it”. Just because I don’t have the time to make everything from scratch doesn’t mean I don’t want to feed my family good, wholesome foods! That is why I was so happy to find the new Hummus Made Easy from Bush’s Brothers.
We are a family who LOVES hummus. We can eat it by the cupful. We eat it with veggies, we eat it with chips or bread and some of my littles eat it with their fingers. I usually give Miss B her own bowl because she loves to eat hummus with her fingers. Nana Pam found out the hard way, while at Disney Social Media Moms last May. She was kind enough to bring us hummus. I warned her Miss B loved it. Mind you, she was not quite two years old yet but she sat at her bowl and used one single carrot to eat the entire container of hummus. When she was finished, she left the carrot. We chuckled about it for weeks but she learned just how much Miss B loves her hummus!
I have been making homemade hummus for years but as of late, I have been purchasing it. I couldn’t be more excited for the new Hummus Made Easy from BUSH’S Brothers. I can have hummus freshly made in under 60 seconds, literally! With a can of BUSH’S Garbanzo Beans and a Hummus Made Easy pouch, I can whip us up a fresh batch in literally sixty seconds.

BUSH’S Garbanzo Beans, 1 can
Hummus Made Easy Pouch
Directions
It is super easy, simple drain and rinse the beans. Add the beans to a food processor.
Pour in the Hummus Made Easy pouch. Puree until you reach the desired texture. I stopped after 15-20 seconds, scrapped my sides and continued for another 15-20 seconds.
That is it, literally! You can add in any desired extras for an extra kick, but it is delicious as is.
My children are pretty picky about their hummus and don’t like all brands. The Hummus Made Easy passed the test with all three children!
Hummus Made Easy comes in three fun varieties:
BUSH’S Classic Hummus Made Easy – This is your classic hummus with olive oil, tahini, garlic and lemon juice. It can be jazzed up by adding in garlic, sundried tomatoes or pesto.
BUSH’S Southwest Black Bean Hummus Made Easy (made with BUSH’S Black Beans) – This is a southwest twist on the classic hummus with our favorite southwest spices added. If you like spicy, adding in some green chilies or a jalapeno would take it up a notch.
BUSH’S Roasted Red Pepper Hummus Made Easy – This has the perfect mix of roasted red peppers already added into your classic hummus. To personalize the flavor even more, try adding smoked paprika or diced pimentos.
I love that they are simple ingredients with no preservatives. We can enjoy the hummus we love in just a minute with no prep work other than draining and rinsing a can of BUSH’S beans. They are available at Walmart for just at $2 a package, making it very affordable to keep on the shelf for those days you need something quickly!
So tell me, which Hummus Made Easy flavor will you try first?
