I am all about saving money. I like to find easy ways to save that don’t require a lot of effort. I previously shared a post about apps you can use that pay you for shopping & coupons you can redeem right from your smartphone. Ibotta is by far the app I use the most! You can save a pretty good chunk of change by redeeming their offers and they are truly simple! I love they offer rebates on fresh produce, milk, eggs and even meat, along with tons of great brand offers.
With Ibotta, I love that you can use paper coupons in addition to the rebates on Ibotta! So you can double dip on the savings, twice! They have fun bonuses you can cash in on when you redeem a certain amount of rebates or reach a certain limit within a timeframe. This past weekend I save $5.20 on my shopping trip using Ibotta and then received a $2.00 bonus for redeeming 5 rebates in a specific time frame. Saving $7.20 on a $60.00 shopping trip is a great savings on things I was purchasing already.
One of my favorite stores to use Ibotta at is Kroger. Truthfully, I love my Kroger store. It is a smaller store (and I travel 45 minutes to get there) but they carry many of my favorite brands and always have a great organic produce selection for our area.
Right now, there is an awesome way to double dip on savings at Krogers (in addition to coupons and Ibotta!), gift cards!

Save at Kroger Stores
From 11/18/2015-12/08/2015 you earn 4x the fuel points on gift card purchases. When you make a purchase using a credit card or debit card that gives you rewards, you can cash in on both savings!
I am not one for promoting uses credit cards, but we use a card that rewards us in points for purchases we make daily and then use those to redeem for cash. Our bank offers a point reward system on our debit card when used as credit. Many credit cards do the same. If you are using a credit card, my advice would be to only make purchases that you can afford to pay off that month so you don’t have to pay interest.
If you are going to be doing shopping at a specific store, why not purchase a gift card to cash in on the savings and then use it instead of cash at the store. Lots of people are going shopping for Black Friday, it would be perfect to stop in and purchase gift cards to stores you will be shopping at and then combine them with sales & store coupons!
Gift cards make great gifts also! I have several thank-you gifts that I need to purchase and while I love to create homemade gifts, sometimes that isn’t an option. Here are a couple of ideas to combine to make great gifts:
Pair iTunes gift cards with new headphones
Pair an Xbox gift card with a new game
Pair a Regal Entertainment gift card with a Brinker Restaurants gift card for a great night on the town.
