“My hope through creating these cards is to provide a way for users to access the sacred memories that we each carry. At one time all of our ancestors lived in harmony with the Earth and understood the delicate balance between what was seen and what was intuited.” — Ingrid Koivukangas, Environmental Artist

The 48-card Eco Heart Oracle deck was created by an environmental artist and brings users messages and insights, along with a new awareness of their connections to nature and the spirit world. Now available through Indiegogo.

The Eco Heart Oracle is a 48-card oracle deck created by Ingrid Koivukangas, an environmental artist who works intuitively with site energies, dreams and deep meditations to create art that reconnects people back to the Earth and Nature. The cards come directly from her experiences working at sites over 15 years. Her intention in creating the Eco Heart Oracle is to help bring users a new awareness and understanding of their deep connections to the Earth, nature and the spirit world. “My hope through creating these cards is to provide a way for users to access the sacred memories that we each carry. At one time all of our ancestors lived in harmony with the Earth and understood the delicate balance between what was seen and what was intuited.”

Oracle cards, also known as wisdom cards, are a modern version of the Tarot. Tarot has been used for centuries to help people find guidance and answers to questions about life, love, spirituality and the future. The earliest surviving Tarot deck, the Tarot of Marseilles, dates back to the 15th century. Oracles encourage positive thinking through powerful messages delivered through the cards using imagery/artwork as well as the written meanings of cards. There are many theories as to how and why oracle cards work. Some believe that users intuitively know the answers to the questions they are asking and the oracle cards bring those thoughts into consciousness. Others believe that the Universe, angels, heavenly mentors and spirit guides bring clarity to seekers through the cards. Oracle cards can act as a messenger bringing you information that you need to know about a situation or guidance for moving forward.

The Eco Heart Oracle contains an assortment of imagery from the natural and Earth spirit world. Some examples include many animals (Bear, Wolf, Mouse), birds (Raven, Nighthawk, Eagle), insects (Butterfly, Bee, Ladybug), aquatic animals (Orca, Salmon, Seal), amphibians (Salamander, Frog, Snail), and spirit creatures (Sylph, Water Sprite and Wood Nymph), as well as many more. The guidebook includes mythological and symbolic meanings, as well as messages received during deep meditation, for all 48 cards.

For each Eco Heart Oracle deck sold a tree will be planted in the Boreal Forest. The Boreal Forest is the largest biome on Earth and stretches around the northern parts of North America and Eurasia. It makes up one of the largest forest ecosystems on the planet and provides homes for many different species of wildlife, birds, insects and amphibians. A corresponding virtual tree will be planted online in the Eco Heart Forest. Trees can be dedicated or planted anonymously.

Until April 18th, 2014 the Eco Heart Oracle is available for pre-order through the Indiegogo campaign raising funds for printing. There are many perks to choose from including oracle decks, signed oracle artist prints, sets of oracle greeting cards, iPhone covers and more.
