They say if you wish for something really bad, it comes true. And so it did. Okay, you a bit confused? I will unveil the mystery. Remember the wishlist I made for the winter holidays? With those winter-to-summer items I so longed for in my closet? Yeah. That’s the one. Courtesy of Persunmall I got them and I honestly couldn’t be happier, so loads of thanks. <3
They are staples after all, well at least the leather skirt and the black chiffon blouse. Cause I’ve also wished (and got) some pretty quirky (actually kinda cheeky) leather leggings, but they’ll be the subject of Monday’s post. The little edgy demon in me could just not sit this one out.

Today we talk leather skirts & black blouses and how we can style them.
If there’s anything I learned yesterday it’s that the most complicated things are the most simple ones. Of course fashion is hardly rocket science, so no excuse here. The predicament though, may arise when trying to style something so easy, that whatever shoes or jacket you wear it looks fantastic, but you just can’t seem to pick one look and go with it. So there I was, 1 hour before meeting my brother, who took the pics, still wondering (like a headless chicken in a black leather skirt, black blouse and tights, basically drowning in clothes and shoes) what should I wear (jacket & shoes wise)?
I started trying everything on: heels (pointy ankle boots)? Looked fabulous and so hot, but seriously too hot for day/work/running errands. Chunky heels? Amazing, but kinda boring (been there done that). And then it hit me. BAM! Sneakers. Too predictable? Or maybe not? Frankly it’s all about how you feel on the spur of the moment so I went for those. Then it was the jacket’s time. Leather? 1. Too cold for a tiny leather jacket. 2. Too leather’ish. (with the skirt and all). Black coat? Too conservative. I felt like more casual and fun. So I went with my animal print coat.
I wore a statement necklace and red lips, just to live it up and give it a more feminine, fun & sexy vibe.
This skirt + blouse is a great combo, that can adapt to all looks and styles with just a switch of shoes.
Persunmall LEATHER SKIRT – versatile, for a million styles. Tell you the truth I was a bit nervous it would not fit properly (I chose an S size), but it fit perfectly. I love the fact that I can wear it as a high wasited skirt or I can wear it a bit lower on the hips. The side zippers (mock pockets) are a great touch of edge and break the black monochromatic feel of the look. The leather is soft and hugs the body perfectly without being skin tight.
Persunmall is packed with leather skirts in so many styles and designs (flared, A-line, skater, skin-tight, minis) so make sure you check them out. Persunamll BLACK CHIFFON BLOUSE – I’m in love with it! Flowy, chiffon, incredibly chic but smart and elegant. It is one hell of a staple perfect for office, for evening, for any occasion actually and why not any season. I love the V cut on it and the fact that it’s collarless (so more of a blouse rather than a shirt) and it’s a bit longer in the back. Great for covering those bad body days we all have. It also comes in cobalt blue. Plus, they’ve got tons of other amazing blouses/tops/shirts styles (printed, basic, smart, classy etc).
I chose an M size, being quite tall, afraid the sleeves and the overall length would be too short. The length was great (hips, over the bum), but the sleeves were a bit shorter. The great news though is that if you roll them up, they can be buttoned and it all turns into a very cool shorter sleeve top. The 2 front pockets are a great style gimmick. So that’s the look I went for yesterday. Fun, laid back, cool with a touch of feminine. And I felt great and comfortable. And cold. Don’t be fooled by the sun. (it explains the all around shades, in order to avoid squinting or just closing my eyes altogether, or making hilarious – read hideous – faces). It was freezing. Before writing this post I took a photo of the skirt with heels just so you have an idea how it looks. (might do another post in the future heels-night-out-oriented).
