Best: Kat Graham
As anyone who's grappled with one of Pat McGrath's Lust 004 kits will tell you, Kat Graham's immaculate glittery lip is nothing short of art. We tip our hats to Graham's Versace-ready look. She also wins the Grammy for best use of white eyeliner.

Best: Tinashe
Tinashe's gorgeous pinkish-purple eyeshadow, feathery black lashes and outsize geometric earrings complemented her relaxed, side-parted coif perfectly.

Worst: Lea Michele
Lea Michele's Grammys beauty look was a case of playful eyeshadow gone wrong. The actress' eyes seemed sunken, thanks to the dark purple circles beneath them. Combined with her makeup artist's overenthusiastic contouring, the overall effect was almost skull-like.

Best: Adele
Per usual, Adele was the picture of old-school glamour. Her signature swooping wings, rosy lips, subtly contoured cheeks and chic chignon raised our spirits as her emerald green Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy gown (now a collector's item) tugged at our heartstrings.

Best: Rihanna
Rihanna's cascading auburn waves and smoky, metallic-accented eye makeup took us on a welcome stroll down memory lane. Of course, we doubt we'd have seen the Anti singer sporting an armful of custom Chopard jewelry back in 2005.

Best: Jennifer Lopez
With her pin-straight, waist-length blowout, fluttery lashes, pale lavender eyeshadow and silky floral collar, J.Lo looked like the (stunning, ageless) cat who got the cream.

Best: Laverne Cox
Many stars used the 59th Annual Grammy Awards to advocate for social justice, Laverne Cox among them. As Cox entreated viewers to Google Gavin Grimm, we couldn't help but admire her conviction (and her bejeweled graphic eyeshadow...and her slicked-back pony...).

Best: Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy Teigen's slick, edgy bob — courtesy of Jen Atkin — made waves, as did her smoldering sooty liner (which she, like us, nearly cried off during Bey's performance).

Worst: Tori Kelly
We will gladly take power suits, bubble sleeves, off-the-shoulder looks and slouchy tailored trousers from the 80s. This hairstyle, on the other hand...

Somewhere in Between: Solange Knowles
Solange is usually the master of anti-gravity 'dos, and a dazzling fro would've no doubt softened the swoop of her metallic one-shoulder dress. We love the singer's cut crease makeup, her carefully mismatched silver earrings, her heavy brows, her nude pout. But this hair is giving us Dr. Seuss vibes. Feel free to disagree.

Best: Heidi Klum
Heidi Klum's hair was total balayage goals. Plus, the supermodel's got that whole "dramatic smoky eye" thing down pat.

Best: Katy Perry
Katy Perry's Grammys look is always something of a wild card, but this year's peroxide blonde chop, matte red lips, black-lined lids and rose gold shadow gave us (the good kind of) chills.

Worst: Andra Day
Andra Day's head-to-toe peach tones did little for her beautiful features. The singer's orangey lipstick completely washed out her complexion, her overly precious hair accents fell flat.

Somewhere in Between: Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga's statement-making beauty look (magenta lids and lips, fierce cat eyes, blorange hair) would have made a much stronger impression had she not brought along her black aviators. Even Gaga can't pull off the sunglasses-at-night look.

Best: Demi Lovato
When it comes to hair, most celebs (Kendall Jenner, Hailey Baldwin, Chrissy Teigen) are going shorter (and lighter). Of course, Demi Lovato has never been one for conformity. On Sunday night's red carpet, the singer pleasantly surprised us with her gorgeous, waist-length, chocolatey tresses. Lovato's gilded makeup and glowing skin was just as on point.

Best: Beyoncé
The most captivating beauty look of the night didn't come from the red carpet. Beyoncé's golden skin and next-level pregnancy curls almost outshined her heart-stopping performance. Almost. Our only complaint would be that we wish the Queen would refrain from any further chair dancing until the Beybies have arrived.

The Grammys never fail to deliver unforgettable hair, makeup and red carpet moments. Of course, the (literal) crowning point of the 2017 awards show would have to be when a very pregnant, glowing Beyoncé took the stage to perform two songs off of Lemonade, the year’s Best Urban Contemporary Album. (Although we did gasp when, later in the evening, makeup naysayer Alicia Keys wore eyeliner to sing her duet with Maren Morris.) But we’re getting ahead of ourselves.
The 59th Annual Grammys red carpet had its share of beauty hits and misses. The overall themes of the evening? Sparkles, purple and tress transformations. Laverne Cox micro-embellished her 60s-inspired lids; Rihanna frosted her gaze and fingertips. Jennifer Lopez, Tinashe and Lea Michele experimented with pastel purple shadow; Lady Gaga rocked a magenta lip. In the hair department, Chrissy Teigen and Katy Perry flaunted their fresh new chops, while Demi Lovato luxuriated in length.
