Hey Tfbers!

Alexandra Chando  (ABC Family’s The Lying Game) and Tash Sakkas, along with their friends, Vanessa Hudgens, Dave  Annable, Odette Annable, Allie Gonino, Alice Greczyn, Nikki Reed and more collaborated to raise money for buildOn, a charity focused on building schools and promoting education  in some of the poorest countries on the planet. buildOn has been selected to be the beneficiary of Passports with Purpose to Support their School Building and Adult Literacy in Mali, Africa!  Bloggers can get involved and I can not wait to learn more about how I can support Alexandra’s campaign!

“For the longest time I’ve wanted to go to Africa and do something, some service. I love what buildOn stands for, I love what they do.”

- Alexandra Chando

In June, I had the pleasure of attending buildOn’s night of entertainment to throw my support behind the cause. A silent auction and live music were the main features of the night. The event was held at hotspot restaurant and bar Aventine Hollywood. Supporters  included Chando’s cast mates Charisma Carpenter, Christian Alexander, Alice Greczyn, Blair Redford, and Allie Gonino.

Check out this awesome red carpet interview with Alexandra Chando:

According to the buildOn website:

Alexandra and Tash will be traveling to Malawi with buildOn in August to break ground on the school and learn more about Malawian culture and why education is crucial for development.” You can support their campaign here.

As for attendees I noticed there was a distinct preference for combinations of black and white or outfits in either hue.  Check it out below:

I opted to rock a flirty black dress with white accents by bebe and heels by Via Spiga. Alexandra wore a flirty skirt that was complimented by black and white colored blocked heels:

Think about getting involved. At the bottom of this post are links to the non-profit with more details on how you can support their cause!
