S4 Doesn’t Make Calls

Problem: My galaxy note4 will not let me make calls when I try to call anyone it says mobile network not available.

Solution: Try to check your phone signal. If your phone does not have any signal then you will not be able to make any calls. To resolve this try to transfer to a different area as the spot you are in right now may not have any signal at all.

If your phone isn’t getting any signal at all despite transferring to another area then you should do a restart. This refreshes your phone software and resets the phone connection to your network.

If the problem still remains try using a different SIM in your phone. This way you can check both your SIM and the phone itself. If the other SIM works on your phone then the problem may be with your SIM card. Contact your carrier regarding this. If however the new SIM you inserted still does not get any signal then the problem may be with the phone itself.

Once you have determined that this is a phone problem you should back up your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the problem still remains after the factory reset then I suggest you bring your phone to an authorized service center as this may already be a hardware related problem.

Note 4 Call Gets Dropped

Problem: Hi, Recently bought AT&T Samsung note 4 ( unlocked) , but when I use it for T mobile carrier, call is getting dropped in the middle and displayed as service unavailable. Signal will come back later in few seconds. This is happening for each and every call placed. Same issue with incoming calls as well.

Related Problem: I just got the samsung galaxy note 4 unlocked T-mobile version and I been having network problems, calls dropping and signal problems. Also the gps always saying searching. I am so tired with the phone and I need help

Solution:Try to check first if this issue occurs in a certain area only or if it occurs in different areas. If the issue occurs only in a particular area then it may be a network related problem or a reception related problem.

If however the problem occurs irregardless of the place then this may be a phone issue already. The first thing you should check is if the issue is caused by some form of corrupt data in your phone. To do this just wipe the cache partition of your phone in recovery mode.

If you are still having the same problem then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

You should also try to use a different SIM card on your phone to eliminate any SIM problems that may be causing this issue.

Note 4 Beep Heard During Calls

Problem: When I am on phone calls there is a noise that sounds like a number on the keypad is being tapped as in dialing a number but the person on the other end doesn’t hear it. The phone could even be on speaker phone and across the room.

Solution: The sound you hear is probably just the minute minder feature. This is a useful feature if you are in a call and want a broad idea of how many minutes you are ob the phone. You can turn this feature off by going to Settings – My Phone – Call- Call Alerts – Call Status Tones – deselect minute minder.

Note 4 Not Clearing Missed Call Log

Problem: My phone will not clear the missed call that I have. I can check the call log, and when I power back up it shows missed calls from month’s ago.

Solution: Try to manually delete the call log history from the dialer app. If the issue remains then this may be caused by some form of corrupt data in your phone. To resolve this you need to wipe the cache partition of your phone.

Note 4 Called Number Goes To Text Message

Problem: After answering a call, that number goes immediately to a text message . Not every time but at least 2-3 times daily

Solution: If this issue occurs occasionally in a day then it may be caused by some form of corrupt data. Try wiping the cache partition of your phone and check if this resolves the problem.

Note 4 Delay In Call

Problem: When I receive calls, there are a few seconds of silence on the microphone. When I answer a call, I have to say hello twice or pause for a few seconds before saying hello. Not a major thing but pretty irritating. I’ve searched and had no luck finding an answer.

Solution: Sometimes a corrupt cached data can cause this issue. You should wipe the cache partition of your phone first then check if the issue still occurs.

If your phone has many apps running in the background this may also be causing the delay since the phone app is waiting for some RAM to be released so it can use it. Check your phone RAM status and make sure that you still have at least 500MB left. Just to be on the safe side force close some apps that are running in the background which you are not currently using.

You can also start your phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If the problem does not occur then it may be caused by certain apps installed in your phone that is using up your phone RAM. Try uninstalling some apps that you don’t regularly use.

Another factor that can cause this problem is the network itself. Check if this issue occurs on a particular area only or if it occurs anywhere you may be. If the issue occurs in only one particular area then this problem may be network or signal related.
