THerefore i did a hard factory reset twice, after which it stills keeps restarting after i try to follow the restore functions it reaches to a point but then restarts again. Please can you hellp me

Note 3 Does Not Turn On After Being Dropped

Problem: Hello. I dropped my note 3 from a small height of about three feet and it switched off after that and isn’t switching on. I’ve dropped it before too from greater heights but didn’t encounter this problem. What might be the issue? I’ve tried all that I could but it doesn’t switch on.

Solution: Try taking out the battery and then place it back in. Plug in the wall charger then turn your phone on. If there is still no response or if your phone still does not turn on then we may be looking at a hardware related problem. You should bring your phone to an authorized service center for further checking.

Note 3 Can Receive But Not Send Text Messages

Problem: My mum has a Samsung Galaxy note 3 and she can receive messages but cannot send them. She gets a fail notification and she has done factory setting and everything but it still is not working….

Solution: Usually in the scenario where the phone can receive a text message but can’t send out it’s usually an account related issue. To verify this try by inserting the SIM card in another phone. If text messages can’t be sent then contact the network provider regarding this issue.

Note 3 GPS Signal Lost Error

Problem: Hello, I’ve been having issues with my GPS on my device. It will always say “GPS signal lost” and it doesn’t seem to find it. Any suggestions / thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Solution: Try to check first if your phone is running on the latest software update. Once your phone is running on the latest software the next step is to determine if a certain third party app is causing this issue. To do this you should start your phone in Safe Mode.

Turn the device off.

Press and hold the Power key.

When ‘GALAXY Note 3′ appears on the screen, release the Power key. Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.

Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.

‘Safe mode’ will display in the bottom left corner of the screen. Release the Volume down key when you see ‘Safe Mode.’

Once in Safe Mode check the GPS of your phone. Make sure you are in an area that is unobstructed so that there is a clear path between your phone and the GPS satellites. If you don’t get the signal lost error then there may be an app installed in your phone that is interfering with its GPS feature. Find out what the app is and uninstall it.

One last troubleshooting step you can do is to perform a factory reset if the problem still persists at this point. Make sure to back up your phone data before proceeding.

Turn off the device.

Press and hold the following three buttons at the same time: Volume Up key, Home key, Power key.

When ‘GALAXY Note 3′ appears on the screen, release the Power key but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key.

When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release the Volume Up and Home keys.

Press the Volume down key to highlight ‘wipe data / factory reset.’

Press Power button to select.

Press the Volume down key to highlight ‘delete all user data.’

Press Power button to select and start the master reset. When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.

Press the Power key to turn the restart the device.

Note 3 “Unfortunately, TouchWiz home has Stopped” Error After Lollipop Update

Problem: Hi, Thanks you for providing great service to us for resolving many Android issues. I am getting following error very frequently since the Lolipop upgrade on AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 3. “Unfortunately, TouchWiz home has stopped”. After the error phone become unresponsive for some time. This error is seen under many circumstances. I certainly see this error if I try to select a application to be moved from one page to another. It used to work before. I also see other issues like higher batter usages, higher memory usage, less responsive.

Solution: In most cases this error is usually caused by a configuration in your phone app preferences. One way to resolve this is to reset the app preferences of your phone.

Access Settings

Choose Application Manager and select the All tab

Tap the Reset App Preferences option

If a confirmation message appears, just tap Reset Apps

If the issue persists then try to clear the data of the TouchWiz app.

Go to Settings

Select Applications

Tap the Running or All tab and choose TouchWiz

Tap Clear Data

If the above troubleshooting steps fail to resolve the issue then perform a factory reset.

Press the Volume down key to highlight ‘wipe data / factory reset.’

Press Power button to select.

Press the Volume down key to highlight ‘delete all user data.’

Press Power button to select and start the master reset. When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.

Note 3 Asking For Product Code

Problem: I have gotten a Samsung Galaxy note 3 from best way and its asking me for a product code and I have no idea where that number can you help?

Solution: You can get the product code of your phone by entering *2767*4387264636# on the dialer.

Note 3 Only Charges When Turned Off

Problem: Hi I have my S Note 3 about 2 months now and it’s only charging when it’s turned off and when it does the phone keeps restarting. It shows a image of a battery with a circle the vibrates and side a different pic of a battery showing how much charge has gone. What should I do with my phone? I’m getting more and more frustrated.

Solution: Try using another wall charger (make sure to use another USB cable as well). If the issue persists then try using another battery as well on your phone.

If the problem persists then eliminate any software related cause by performing a factory reset. Make sure to back up your data before proceeding.

If your phone still has the same problem after a factory reset then this may already be caused by a faulty hardware. Bring your phone to an authorized service center for checking.

Note 3 Reversing Lollipop Update

Problem: Hi there! I just recently received an update request which I did and my entire note 3 changed. It is now more like my husband’s Samsung Active 5, which I don’t like as well and also isn’t allowing me to make changes via the settings menu and some of my functions that are still turned on aren’t working any longer, i.e. answering the phone with voice commands. This option is checked as before but the function no longer works. I’ve unchecked it and then checked it again but to no avail. Bottom line, is there a way to reverse the update? I really hope you can help me like my phone again! Thank you!

Solution: There is a way to reverse the update but it is not supported by Samsung and you will have to do it manually. You will need to root your phone first and make sure that its bootloader is unlocked. You will also need the official KitKat ROM of your phone as well as a software called Odin installed in your computer. More detailed instructions on how to go about doing this can be found at several of the popular Android forums online.

Note 3 S Pen Screenshot Issue After Lollipop Update

Problem: Hello! I didn’t know who else to ask, but Google brought me to you. The newest update took away one of my favorite screenshotting functions: using the pen, holding the button, and touching the screen. Then i could draw on the picture, edit, and etc. It was very fast and so very convenient. Now I’ve updated to the new lollipop. Not only does the screen write option take too long (especially for snapchat!), it doesn’t allow me to edit the picture anymore. I’ve already made sure that the check box was selected to edit after screen capture. In addition to this, now my phone fails to capture one screen shot after another. I must exit out of the app and then go back in. What can I do to fix this? I’d like to edit after screenshotting, and if there’s a way to bring back the old feature, how do I? Again, I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask. I would love if the old screenshotting method was bright back, but I know a few unhappy people won’t bring it back, unfortunately! Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Solution: Several other owners of this phone have also been reporting this same issue. The thing to do is to back up your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the problem persists then this may be a software bug that may be addressed during the next update.

Note 3 Screen Turns On Randomly

Problem: Hi ever since I did the 4.4.4 update on my note 3 my screen will randomly come on by itself and stay on. This will happen all the time throughout the day and it’s draining my battery. I do not touch it or bump it, yet it comes on by itself. I’ve looked up how to fix it myself online but can’t find a real answer. Can you help me? Thank you.

Solution: This issue may be caused by a glitch in the phone software. Try wiping the cache partition of your phone first.

Turn off the device.

Press and hold the following three buttons at the same time: Volume Up key, Home key, and Power

When ‘GALAXY Note 3′ appears on the screen, let go of the Power key but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home

When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release the Volume Up and Home

Press the Volume Down key to highlight ‘wipe cache partition.’

Press Power button to select and start the master reset. When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.

Press the Power key to turn the restart the device.

Note 3 Pictures Not Displaying

Problem: I have a Galaxy Note 3. When I open the Gallery, all of the pictures are gray. When I tap to open they are displayed again as gray. Sometimes when I select an individual Picture, the actual picture will show, but mostly, it just says Loading.

Solution: It’s most likely that the photos got corrupted. Are the photos stored on the microSD or in the internal storage of the phone? If they are in the microSD then back up any photo that you can using your computer and get a new microSD.

If your photos are stored in the internal storage of your phone then try wiping the cache partition.

Press the Power key to select and wipe the cache.

With ‘reboot system now’ highlighted, press the Power key to restart the device.

Problem: After the update my stylus doesn’t work and my phone keeps randomly freezing.  I have made sure the stylus option is enabled in settings.  I also cleared the cache in recovery controls. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Solution: Your best option right now is to do a master reset. This usually resolves issues brought about by a major software upgrade. Make sure to back up your data before proceeding.

Press and hold the following three buttons at the same time: Volume Up key, Home key, Power key.

When ‘GALAXY Note 3′ appears on the screen, release the Power key but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key.

Note 3 Software Update When Using Different Carrier

Problem: I have a Verizon note 3 that I am using on straight talk. When a update is released for Verizon phones will I get it too? Even though I am on straight talk?  I have version 4.4.2 and I know there is a newer version available 4.4.4 but when I try to update it I get a message that says that it is already up to date.  I don’t know how to update it. Can you help? Thanks.

Solution: You should try using Kies to update your phone software. You can download Kies from the Samsung website and install it in your computer.

Connect your device to your computer using the USB cable. Firmware upgrades are available only when you connect your device via the USB port.

Open Kies. When a new version of firmware is available, you will see a notice on the Basic information tab.

Click Firmware upgrade to start the upgrade process.

You will be taken through the backup process to preserve all of your data.

When ‘GALAXY Note 3′ appears on the screen, let go of the Power key but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home

Note 3 Call Issues After Lollipop Update

Problem: Hello, Please help!  Since the update,  I have a problem with making calls. Sometimes it will go like it making the call but then imeadiotly go back to the call log without placing the call. I have to close everything I have running to get it to work, and sometimes even restart my phone this is very frustrating.  Please help! !!

Solution: Whenever issues occur on a phone right after a major software update it is always best to perform a factory reset. Note 3 No Google Apps Installed

Problem: Hi TDG! I recently bought a Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9006) from a friend which was in a great shape. However, I noticed that there were no pre-installed Google play store nor any google apps. Frustrated by the fact that I’m not able to install apps from the play store, I factory reset the phone. Yet, problem not solved. I tried to download apk file manually and installed it but again it doesn’t complete the installation. 1. Is there a way to get the Google play services back possibly without rooting, as I’m not sure if I can do that right? 2. And why did this happen, is it because  the phone is region locked or the model doesn’t anymore support  google apps? 3. What alternatives (apart from Samsung store) are there to install apps from? Looking forward

Solution: You phone may be running on a custom ROM that does not have any Google apps installed. Try to find out what software version your phone is running then install the appropriate Google suite of apps. If for example your phone is using CyanogenMod then you will need to download GAPPS and install it on your phone.

Note 3 “unfortunately touchwiz home has stopped working” Error

Problem: Hello, I recently got the lolipop update.  Ever since I am unable to modify my home screens at all, except to change wall paper.  I can’t move remove or add apps or widgets.  Every time I try I get a “unfortunately touchwiz home has stopped working.” In an attempt to fix this I cleared the cache for that app and it just reset it to factory.  Which was far worse that leaving it alone to begin with, at least some of my widgets were there.  After that didn’t work I called AT&T  to see if they could offer any advice.  Their solution was to go to my local Best Buy store to have my phone flashed.  So, I went there and they don’t know what I’m talking about. What should I do? Can I flash it myself? If yes, how? Thank you!

Solution: Before flashing your phone have you tried doing a maser reset? If not then do it first.

The issue should disappear after the reset. If it still occurs then a reflash is another option you can do. Your phone needs to be rooted with its bootloader unlocked for this to work. You also need a copy of the original firmware of your phone as well as a software called Odin installed in your computer. Instructions on doing this can be found at several popular Android forums online.

Note 3 Call Logs Erased

Problem: I have T-Mobile as my provider and updated my phone to Lollipop.   Had some initial problems; backed everything up and wiped my phone, reloaded and the major problems were resolved.  But now I have realized that my Call logs, text logs, etc are not saving.  I see the ones for today, but there is a gab between today and when I wiped and reinstalled all software.  Can’t quite figure it out.  Every morning the log from the previous day is erased.  What can I do, short of wiping and reinstalling everything again?

Solution: Try starting your phone in Safe Mode to check if a third party app installed in your phone is causing this issue.

If your call logs are not erased in this mode then the problem is most likely caused by a third party app. Find out what this app is and uninstall it.

If the issue persists then try wiping the cache partition of your phone. This eliminates any possibility of his being caused by corrupt temporary data.

Press the Power key to select and wipe the cache.

Note 3 microSD Card Not Mounted

Problem: Hello. I have a note 3 and use it with a 32gb micro sd card.  About six on the ago I had a message coming up to say SD card wouldn’t mount so after trying to re insert and plugging it into my laptop via and not find g anything on it I had to cut my losses and re format the card while back in my handset. It’s been working fine, however today whilst on holiday and taking lots of photos I stopped we having lunch to look at the photos.  I went to my gallery and the SD folder where ally photos were has disappeared.  I went to check the storage area and saw that it says SD cars needs to be mounted.  I turned my phone off and have taken the card out and re inserted, still it doesn’t show anything..I’m at a whitts end all my photos from my holiday that have been taken are nowhere to be found. Is this a common problem? For the note 3, and can you suggest I do anything as there must be some way to retrieve the data.  I don’t want to do something wrong and loose it for good. Any help is so greatly appreciated.

Solution: It appear that you have a faulty microSD card. Your best option is to buy a new one and use it on your phone.

As for the photos that you took you can try using a data recovery program such as Recuva and see if they can be recovered. Insert the microSD card on your computer and let Recuva or any other data recovery software run. Take not that there is no assurance that all your data may be recovered.
