Taiwanese technology company Gigastone is set to make its North American debut at the CES 2014 with the introduction of its Media Streamer line of products. The latest addition to this line called the Media Streamer Plus allows content stored in a USB flash drive or SD card to be streamed directly to a smartphone or a a tablet using Wi-Fi connection. It also has an Ethernet port and can act as a mobile charger using its built-in Samsung Lithium-Ion 5200mAh battery.



 According to Sherry Chapman, senior director of marketing at Gigastone, “Our new Media Streamer Plus provides Apple or Android tablet or smartphone users with four solutions in one product. This revolutionary mobile accessory expands storage, allows content sharing, charges mobile devices, and backs up content. Additionally, it has an Ethernet port for network connectivity and a large 5200mAh Samsung Lithium-Ion battery that provides up to 16 hours of WiFi operation. All of that and it’s still compact and portable enough to fit in the palm of a hand.”

A total of 6 devices can connect simultaneously using a Wi-Fi connection to the Media Streamer Plus. Those who need constant connection to the Internet can take advantage of the Internet Bridge feature that allows constant connection while streaming from the device.

Media Streamer Plus supports various platforms such as iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Android smartphones and tablets, and Windows smartphones and tablets.
