Brunch really is the unsung hero of meal times! We here at TheDiningRoom are big fans of brunch and we want you to know where the best places to go are. It’s the perfect way to relax on the weekend, enjoy some good food and watch the world go by. Our list features restaurants in Dublin, Cork and Galway so there’s a good chance you’ll find something that’s near you:

1. San Lorenzo’s



San Lorenzo’s is a modern Italian New York Style Restaurant located on South Great George’s Street. Their “Brunch of Champions” is famous and serves an original variety of food, fusing a modern Italian approach to cuisine with the hallmarks of New York style cooking. 2. Whitefriar Grill



Whitefriar Grill Restaurant is a great new restaurant in Dublin city centre. They are self proclaimed as the best brunch location in Dublin. 3. Forest Avenue



Forest Avenue on Sussex St. Dublin 4, is a modern dining room that serves up contemporary food in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Their brunch offering is a comprehensive and massively appetizing Tasting Menu that features small dishes such as – Vanilla yoghurt, house made granola, peach & spiced bread. Check out their menu here. 4. Soder+Ko

Located on South Great Georges Street, Soder+Ko is one of the hottest places to eat at in Dublin at the moment. They serve up a fantastic alternative brunch with an Asian influence in a cool and unique venue. Their brunch menu is packed full of dishes that are healthy or hearty, big or small. 5. Fenn’s Quay, Cork

Located on Cork’s Sheares Street, No.5 Fenn’s Quay has been voted the Best Restaurant in Cork for the past 2 years. A lot of their produce comes from the famed English Market and their food is cooked without pretension. The undoubted highlight of their Brunch menu is “The West Corker” – Rosscarbery black or white pudding, red onion confit & smoked Gubbeen Cheese toasted on brown or white bread. Check out their menu here. 6. Brasserie Sixty6

Brasserie Sixty6 is an ultra popular restaurant on South Great Georges St. Their brunch offering is among the most comprehensive around and definitely one of the best! 7. Wuff Bistro

Located on Benburb Street, Wuff Bistro is a cozy establishment that prides itself on its creativity, innovation and use of prime produce. Perhaps enjoy something sweet like their warm sweet waffle or sample their jerk chicken burger, which is said to be first class! Check out their menu here. 8. The Winding Stair

The Winding Stair is a landmark spot on Lower Ormond Quay that doubles as a bookshop. For years, this award winning restaurant has served up great, honest food that is simple, good old-fashioned and homemade. 9. Gourmet Tart Co. Galway

Located in Salthill, Gourmet Tart Co. really is the perfect place to go to enjoy a relaxing bite to eat after a leisurely stroll along the prom. 10. Cleaver East

Located in the heart of Temple Bar, Cleaver East is the perfect location for a relaxing Sunday brunch. They offer one of the most comprehensive brunch menus around cooking up a variety of scrumptious egg dishes, pancakes, quesadillas and beef burgers. 12. Ristorante Rinuccini, Kilkenny

Ristorante Rinuccini is a family owned and run multi award-winning Italian restaurant located in the heart of Kilkenny City for over 25 years. Whilst they don’t strictly offer a brunch menu their lunch offerings on the weekend is perfect for filling a gap up until dinner.
