As you know here at TheDiningRoom.ie we like to tell you were the celebs like to wine and dine. Keeping that in mind here is a list of Celebrity Brian Ormond’s favourite restaurants. Brian Ormond has been in the entertainment business since he was a child. It all started with his training at the Digges Lane Dance Centre in Dublin when he was just 4 years old. In the past Brian was most noted for his performances on TV talent shows such as ‘You’re a Star’ and more recently ‘Celebrity Bainisteoir’. He is now a well-established TV presenter. Of course, Brian’s first foray into the public arena was on RTÉ’s Popstars when he came seventh in the race to form the band Six. He followed up this with a try on the first ‘You’re a Star’ (2002) when he reached the final five candidates the year Mickey Harte went on to win.

37 Dawson Street

One of Brian Ormond’s favourite restaurants is 37 Dawson Street. For a night out in Dublin city centre 37 is a one stop shop for me. When it comes to the friendly staff in Dublin,37 is the place to be! I like to arrive early, have a pint in the bar, then head upstairs to the restaurant. Starters are almost impossible to choose. So each time I visit I change what I have. The pate is superb, the hot wings are to die for and the calamari with sweet chilli is top drawer! Onto my main course-this NEVER changes for me in 37, as the fillet steak hits the spot every time! I don’t really have a sweet tooth so the 37 cheese board finishes off the perfect meal. After the food it’s back downstairs to late night bar for some great music and a laugh into the early hrs. 37 is also my favourite spot for Sunday brunch!

Darwin’s

Darwin’s is a family run business, and it was my mum and dad that introduced me to this hidden gem. You’re always guaranteed a great meal at Darwin’s. They have a great selection of starters but they pride themselves on the quality of their meat. When I go out for a meal I always enjoy steak. Most places can be disappointing but Darwin’s has never let me down. The steak is always cooked to perfection and the sides they have on offer really make the meal. Quality food at a great price, especially the early bird!

Mrs Robinson’s

When it comes to a fun night out with great atmosphere and super food, Mrs Robinson’s Kitchen in Greystones is definitely on my list! Attached to the restaurant is a very cool old school vintage bar. I like to have a few pints here then head to restaurant and devour the starter portion of hot wings-incredible!! There’s always a great selection on the menu and the specials are always worth a look. Want to get out of the city? Mrs Robinson’s is well worth a visit!

Noble house

Choosing your top 5 restaurants is extremely hard but I couldn’t leave my favourite Chinese restaurant out. The Noble House on the Malahide road is very hard to beat. It’s run by Daniel and Diana who always welcome you with a smile. It’s a very modern restaurant and the food is always fresh and tasty. I always like to start with my noble house favourite-salt and chilli chicken. The selection of dishes on their menu is super. I like to change main courses every-time I visit. A nice bottle of wine and a tasty meal is always served at the the noble house.

Nando’s

Nando’s is a place I visit alot! The chicken is always so fresh and tasty. For me the hot sauce on my chicken is incredible! Nando’s is quick, healthy (no skin on chicken) and the staff are always there to offer a helping hand. For those who haven’t tried Nando’s …what are you waiting for?!
