Slow Cooker Pumpkin Chili



Chili and fall go hand in hand. When you add pumpkin to the recipe it’s makes it even better and the perfect fall dinner recipe. While my chili was cooking I headed out side with my family and got to spend some time playing in the backyard in the fall air and came it to have dinner ready and my house smelling amazing!



With the pumpkin I wanted to add some fall spices and put cinnamon, all spice, and even pumpkin pie spice. I’ve used sweet spices like this in my recipe for Cincinnati Chili also. The slow cooker makes dinner so simple and making dinner easy is a must for a busy mama! My new favorite easy dinner hack, Hunt’s Recipe Ready “Pre-measure 2TBS” Paste Pouches. Already measured out and no wasting tomato paste that was unused from a can.



Start this recipe by cooking your ground turkey (or ground beef) and placing it in your slow cooker. Add the rest of your ingredients to your slow cooker including your new convenient pre-measured tomato paste. The pouches are easy to use and recipe ready. After using you can toss the pouch without worrying about wasting any!

Once everything is in the slow cooker allow it to cook for 4-5 hours on high or 8 hours on low. I served mine with sour cream and shredded cheese.

Slow Cooker Pumpkin Chili

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 5 hours

Ingredients

Ground turkey, 2 lbs

Onion, chopped, 1 cup

Bell pepper, 2 cups

Chili powder, 1 tbsp

Ground cinnamon, 1 tsp

Ground all spice, 1 tsp

Pumpkin pie spice, 1/2 tsp

Garlic powder, 2 tsp

Salt, 1/2 tsp

Tri-color beans, 1 cup

Tomato paste, 2 tbsp

Crushed tomatoes, 1 large can (28 oz)

Cider vinegar, 1 tbp

Water, 1 cup

Instructions

Cook ground turkey, drain fat, and place into the slow cooker.

Add remaining ingredients to the slow cooker. Cook on high for 4-5 hours or low for 8 hours.

Serve with sour cream and shredded cheese.
