Arthur Romero

Arthur Romero, 83, of Brawley, CA passed away on January 21, 2015 at Imperial Heights Healthcare and Wellness Centre. He was born to Angel Romero and Mariana Garcia on March 13, 1931 in Phoenix, AZ. He relocated to Brawley, CA with his sister at the age of 15.
Arthur met his love, Esther Ramos, in Mexicali, BC and they later married on August 4, 1951 in Yuma, AZ. He worked in construction with Uncle Sebastian Amarillas and was later self-employed until he retired in 2002.
The Mass Service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10:00 a.m. and will be officiated by Father John Smith.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Frye Chapel and Mortuary from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Burial will be on Saturday, January 30, 2015 at Riverview Cemetery after the Mass service.
The Rosary will be on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Frye Chapel and Mortuary at 7:00 p.m.
Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, Angel Romero and Mariana Garcia, his brother, Manuel Garcia, his sister, Artemisa Lopez, his son, Arturo Romero and his daughter, Laura Romero.
Arthur is survived by his wife of 63 years, Esther Romero, his daughters, Patricia (Angel) Delgado of Newman, CA, Denise Gregory of Sonia, GA, Blanca Aquirre (Raymond Guzman) of Brawley, and Alma Lopez of Brawley. He is also survived by his son, Arthur Javier Romero of Oceanside, his brothers, Angel Romero of Spring Valley, CA, Ernest Romero of El Centro, and Jose Garcia of Brawley. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
