Paul and Wings on Junior’s Farm in Lebanon, TN

They are combining great music with a good cause.  There is a Thanksgiving food drive & concert with: Denny Laine (From Paul McCartney & Wings/Moody Blues) The Cryers with Steve Holley (from Wings/Elton John/Ian Hunter) & Forever Abbey Road Beatles revue Live inside the beautiful Event Center at Legacy Farms- A percentage of proceeds & can food donations goes to the Wilson County Community Help charity.

In the summer of 1974, a world famous Beatle and his family and new band made Lebanon Tennessee their home for the summer…

Paul & Linda McCartney, Denny Laine, Jimmy McCulloch and Geoffry Britton, also known as “Wings” spent the summer of 1974 at country songwriter Curly Putman’s farm to relax, rehearse and take in some fresh Tennessee air.

The band had a wonderful time fishing, jamming, horseback riding, and hanging out with local fans, artists, songwriters and musicians. They also visited the downtown Nashville music scene, Opryland and were guests at the Grand Ole Opry at the Ryman.

Forever Abby Road

While rehearsing and jamming at the farm, Wings wrote new songs inspired by their surroundings and decided to record them at Nashville’s Sound Shop Studios. The most famous song to come out of these sessions was the top ten hit “Junior’s Farm” which was dedicated to the beautiful farm land surrounding Lebanon and middle Tennessee.

Wings’ line up changed a few times in the 1970s except for the core trio of Paul & Linda McCartney & Denny Laine who were the band’s creative backbone throughout their entire lifespan.

None of the members of Wings ever got the chance to return to Lebanon until now! Denny Laine will be returning to Lebanon after 40 years for a very special concert with The Cryers and the Forever Abbey Road Beatles revue.
