8.00pm Operation Snow Tiger BBC2 - Liz Bonnin, a former tiger biologist herself, travels to the frozen forests of the Russian Far East to help a team of scientists studying these big cats. Their goal is to uncover the hidden world of this mysterious predator, determine why they are declining and what can be done to save them. When three orphaned cubs are discovered, the team launch a desperate rescue mission. Cameraman Max Hug Williams joins rangers in the race against time to find the cubs as a blizzard approaches - capturing remarkable footage in the process.
8.00pm Poirot ITV - New episode of the Agetha Christie series. After the gruesome murder of an elderly psychiatrist, Poirot finds himself crossing cases with his old friend, the crime writer Ariadne Oliver. They both delve into the past to uncover the truth behind two mysterious deaths years ago which are inspiring the vengeful present-day killer whom Poirot is hunting.
8.00pm Terror in the Skies Channel 4 - In this four-part series, aeronautical engineer Brendan Walker brings his authoritative eye to amazing footage of aviation incidents and near misses, and asks: what do they tell us about safety in the sky? Have we reached the limits of how safe we can make flying, and, as we fly more, cheaper, faster, are we pushing the envelope too far? Brendan tells some of the most amazing stories of aviation survival and bravery from the last couple of years, as well as uncovering shocking incidents from pilots and air traffic controllers falling asleep, to planes that are meant to fly themselves, to lightning, turbulence and volcanic ash.
9.00pm The Returned Channel 4 - 8-part French drama. In a small mountain community, two local people - teenager Camille, and Simon - who both died years earlier, suddenly re-appear at their homes. They have not aged, and they are completely unaware of their own deaths. Camille and Simon assume they can re-join the world of the living as though nothing has happened, but their return throws their friends and family into a state of turmoil.
9.00pm Rise of the Continents BBC2 - Geologist Prof Iain Stewart shows how the continent of Africa was formed from the wreckage of a long lost supercontinent. He discovers clues in its spectacular landmarks, mineral wealth and iconic wildlife, that help piece together the story of Africa's formation. But he also shows how this deep history has left its mark on the modern day Africa and the world.
9.00pm Bollywood Carmen Live BBC3 - One-off musical spectacular performed live in the centre of Bradford. Inspired by Bizet's popular opera Carmen, it is a dramatic story of love, betrayal and intrigue told with music that mixes Bollywood classics, western pop and well-known tunes from Bizet's score. Carmen is a Bradford waitress obsessed with movie stardom. When a Bollywood film star comes to Bradford to shoot scenes for his new movie she thinks her time has come, but the cards foretell a different story.
9.10pm D-Day: The Last Heroes BBC1 - Historian Dan Snow examines how two years of meticulous planning, espionage and the analysis of millions of three-dimensional aerial photographs helped the Allied Forces gain a foothold in northern France. Concludes Tomorrow.

9.00pm Big Fat Gypsy Weddings: Life on the Run Channel 4 - This brand new episode follows one travelling clan over the course of a tumultuous year. The film witnesses the clan's constant game of cat and mouse with local councils; the daring 'land grabs' in the dead of night; the battles with the local residents, who believe they are invading their parks and don't want them pitching up at the end of their road; the hardships of long winters in freezing caravans; and the joys of being free spirits and testing the limits of the law.
10.00pm Dates Channel 4 - From the creator of Skins, a witty, sexy and emotional drama series about the complicated and hilarious ways that strangers interact on dates in their quest to find love. David is a lorry driver from Yorkshire making his first foray into online dating. When he meets Mia, a beautiful unknowable siren, he quickly realises that he might have bitten off more than he can chew. Dates airs as part of Channel 4's Mating Season which explores the complexities and nuances of forming relationships in 2013 with a collection of documentaries and dramas that take a look at modern day relationships. Will Mellor and Oona Chaplin star.
10.35pm Helicopter Rescue BBC1 - This two-part series captures thrilling rescue footage and real-life drama as it follows the working lives of RAF Search and Rescue crews patrolling Wales. Amongst them is Prince William - HRH The Duke of Cambridge, or Flight Lieutenant Wales as he is known in the RAF, as he and his colleagues respond to callouts in dramatic locations in North Wales.

8.00pm Gibraltar: Britain in the Sun Five - Observational documentary series following the lives of the natives and ex-pats who live in Gibraltar. Police officer Dylan wades into a fracas, divers explore the sunken SS Rosslyn, a couple's dream wedding needs rescuing and meet the man in charge of the rock's 300 macaques.
9.00pm Child Genius Channel 4 - This four-part documentary series follows the lives of some of the country's cleverest children and their families. Most of the children have IQs in the top 0.1% of the population. But growing up gifted can have its challenges; and behind many a child genius, there's often a determined parent, with this series revealing the different approaches to parenting a child whose intelligence is off the scale. Earlier this year, 21 highly gifted children aged seven to 11 were selected to take part in a competition run in association with British Mensa, to find the UK's ultimate child genius.
9.00pm Hell's Kitchen ITV2 - New series of the Gordon Ramsay led series set in the US.
Agnetha: Abba and After BBC1 - Documentary film celebrating the singing career of Agnetha Faltskog, which began in the mid-60s when she was just 15. Within just two years, she was a singing sensation at the top of the charts in Sweden, before meeting husband Bjorn Ulvaeus and becoming a part of pop group Abba in the 70s. Agnetha lacked confidence on stage as the global demand for the group grew and grew while being away from her young children caused her great turmoil. The film features special behind-the-scenes footage from the making of her comeback album, as this reluctant star - the subject of much tabloid speculation since she retreated from the stage post-Abba - returns to recording aged 63. Included in the film is her first meeting with Gary Barlow, who contributes a duet to the new album.

9.00pm Horizon: The Secret Life of a Cat BBC2 - Series exploring topical scientific issues. Horizon discovers what your cat really gets up to when it leaves the cat flap. In a groundbreaking experiment, 50 cats from a village in Surrey are tagged with GPS collars and their every movement is recorded, day and night, as they hunt in our backyards and patrol the garden fences and hedgerows. Cats are fitted with specially developed cat-cams which reveal their unique view of our world.
9.00pm Happy Families ITV - Brand new documentary series which focuses on what it means to be a family in Britain today. In the first episode, we meet three families who are facing very different parenting challenges. In Kent, Keith and Carole have 22 years of experience as parents, but they have their hands full in a house with eight children, six of whom are over 18. How are they to persuade their adult kids to grow up and start paying their way? Meanwhile in Blackburn, Kris - who was a bachelor without a care in the world 18 months ago - has met Mel, a mother of four and now has to face up to the difficult role of step dad. T and Tahmina live in Nottingham, where they are navigating the treacherous territory of teenage daughters as they try to lay down the ground rules and inculcate a proper work ethic - but 14-year-old Rashiqa thinks they are hopelessly old school with no idea of what it means to be a teenager today.
9.00pm Confessions of an Alien Abdutee Channel 4 - This one-off documentary follows the work of one of Britain's strangest helplines - Anomalous Mind Management Abductee Contactee Helpline, or AMMACH - a 999 for 'experiencers' of alien abduction. The film follows some of the 100 members who use the helpline, including Simon, a town councillor who believes that in addition to his earthbound wife, he has a family of alien children with an alien lover.
9.00pm Big Brother Five - New host Emma Willis hosts live launch coverage as the series returns with a brand new theme, Big Brother: Secrets and Lies. The housemates will be subjected to countless twists, turns and tough tasks as they attempt to separate Big Brother fact from fiction.
10.00pm Mock the Week BBC2 - Dara O Briain and the team return for a brand new series looking back at the funny side of the week's news, featuring guests Milton Jones, Josh Widdicombe and Katherine Ryan.
10.00pm Sex Toy Stories Channel 4 - One in three British women own a vibrator, but many are designed by men. Now, a group of eight ordinary women are going to work with Ann Summers to create a sex toy made by women for women. They're a diverse group, including 69-year-old grandma Margaret, a twentysomething virgin and a middle aged divorcee who has never achieved an orgasm. One thing unites them, that they think there's a gap in the market and they are determined to fill it.

8.00pm Harbour Lives ITV - Brand new observational series in which Ben Fogle follows the people who live and work around Poole Harbour on the Dorset coast. This is an area rich in contrasts from the wealthy residents who live in the exclusive Sandbanks, to the fishermen who have been trawling the Jurassic coast waters for generations. In this first episode, Ben is given a tour of a development set to become the most expensive in the area. He goes to sea with the Millers, a fishing family who are facing financial difficulties with their main vessel out of action. This is in stark contrast to Dorset's only polo club, which he visits later on.
9.00pm The Million Pound Drop Channel 4 - Game show hosted by Davina McCall returns.
