7.00pm Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway ITV - Return of the Saturday night entertainment series that was last seen in 2009. The first episodes features appearances from Robbie Williams whop takes part in a special performance, and Hollywood legend Danny DeVito provides his unique brand of humour as the live guest announcer. Unsuspecting viewers and audience members are invited to take part in crazy challenges, win fantastic prizes and meet some famous faces. One lucky person from the studio audience has the chance to win the ads, in which the prizes - selected from one of ITV's commercial breaks - can range from toilet rolls to brand new cars or luxury holidays. The fun builds up to the End of the Show Show, in which some of the world's biggest and best performers grace the Takeaway stage for a one-off performance that comes with its own unique surprise.

8.00pm A Great British Air Disaster Channel 4 - This is the story of the rise and fall of the De Havilland Comet - the world's first passenger jet airliner. At the height of World War II, a secret committee of visionary British scientists set about designing a revolutionary new aircraft that would launch a new era in aviation. Key first-hand accounts, expert interviews, reconstructions and never before seen archive footage tell the story of how British ingenuity created a plane that flew faster and higher than any of its rivals, giving post-war Britain a symbol of hope in a time of austerity, and how triumph ultimately turned into fatal disaster.

9.00pm Robson's Extreme Fishing Challenge Five - Documentary series. Journeying to some of the world's best fishing grounds, Robson Green competes against the local angling champions. In the pristine waters off Tasmania, he hunts for Mako shark, the elusive elephant fish, bream and brown trout, but he is up against islanders utterly committed to their fishing.

9.00pm The Secrets of the Pickpockets Channel 4 - This new edition of Secrets of the Pickpockets follows one of British Transport Police's dip squads, as the team are drafted in to deal with a spike in pickpocketing in London's West End, where homegrown criminals are now competing with Romanian gangs and the acknowledged world masters of pickpocketing - the Chileans.
10.00pm Heading Out BBC2 - Six-part sitcom written by and starring Sue Perkins. Sara is about to turn 40, and life is not as she imagined it would be. Whether it is making urgent funeral arrangements for a dead cat, lying about her personal life to placate her anxious mother, or getting into trouble with a netball referee, Sara's life is reaching tipping point and something has got to give. Much to Sara's dismay, it seems her friends are arranging a 'surprise' birthday party, but what she doesn't know is that they are about to set her a dramatic ultimatum
10.00pm Shameless Channel 4 - Final series of the Channel 4 comedy drama set on the Chatsworth Estate. It's a grand occasion as the Chatsworth inhabitants celebrate being awarded an Olympic ring from London 2012. The Maguires toast the expansion of their empire: Mimi's hijacked control of the local school via the PTA and Shane's setting up a new business venture. 10.35pm My New Hand BBC1 - Documentary telling the story of Britain's first hand transplant, carried out by surgeons at Leeds Infirmary on Boxing Day night 2012, from the moment Professor Simon Kay and his team decided to go ahead to the moment the patient was able to move the transplanted hand. During that time, candidates came forward from all over the UK and beyond - including a hairdresser, an IT consultant, a former pub landlord, a DJ and a retired housewife - all of whom had lost the use of at least one of their hands. But before they could go ahead, the doctors had to be sure they were physically and psychologically prepared. Some decided that the risks - including the potentially life-shortening drugs that would need to be taken for the rest of their life - weren't worthwhile. Others decided that the misery of living without a hand outweighed everything else.

8.00pm Food Glorious Food ITV - Cooking competition devised by Simon Cowell. The team of culinary experts is in Malvern this week, on the lookout for Britain's best home cooking. This episode features cooks from Wales and the Midlands out to impress the panel - Loyd Grossman, Tom Parker-Bowles, Anne Harrison, and Stacie Stewart. Recipes include sausages in milk, classic Welsh cawl, Staffordshire oat cakes, and Pimms summer jelly. The overall winner will receive a prize of 20,000 pounds, and see their very own dish on the shelves of Marks and Spencer. Presented by Carol Vorderman.

9.00pm Lightfields ITV - Five-part follow up to 2011's spooky drama Marchlands. The series is set in three different eras on a remote farmhouse called Lightfields on the Suffolk coast. The drama opens in wartime Britain, where the Felwood family are hard at work on the farm. 19-year-old Eve arrives from London, but her new-found friendship with Lucy Felwood is jeopardised after Lucy's head is turned by a dashing US airman. When Vivien Mullen comes to Lightfields in the 1970s to grapple with a childhood trauma, a ghostly presence makes itself felt, and it later disturbs a new generation of Felwoods in 2012 as they struggle to make a living in the home once occupied by their ancestors.

9.00pm The Wedding Shop ITV - One-off documentary focusing on one of Yorkshire's most popular wedding shops. In Confetti and Lace, manager Marg and her assistant Jane are guiding three brides through the hectic summer season. With years of experience between them, these specialists develop a close relationship with their clients as they prepare for one of the most emotional - and often stressful - days of their lives. Marg is looking after young bride-to-be Tammy, whose mother hasn't been invited to her big day. 8.30pm Mary & Martha BBC1 - One off Drama written by Richard Curtis, telling the story of two ordinary mothers who refuse to give up. Mary and Martha are an American and an Englishwoman who have little in common, apart from a tragedy that unexpectedly brings them together. Empowered by their friendship, they form a partnership that takes them from their meeting in a remote part of Mozambique all the way to Washington. There they find redemption and achieve something they would have never thought possible. Brenda Blethyn and Hillary Swank star.
