Mix Cellini is an attractive and deceptively charming young man with a disturbed past who rents the top floor of a dilapidated Notting Hill residence. St Blaise House is also where Gwendolen Chawcer - a lonely spinster in her mid-70s has lived all her life, looked after by the only friends she has ever had, Olive and Queenie. There Gwendolen nurses the memory of her long-lost and only true love Dr Stephen Reeves, whom she believes was mistakenly connected to serial killer John Reginald Christie years before. When Gwendolen discovers that Stephen's wife has died, she attempts to make contact again. Meanwhile Mix has two compelling obsessions - Christie himself, and supermodel Nerissa Nash whom he is stalking. Fantasy and reality merge as long pent-up violence is released and Mix begins to inhabit the spirit of the long-dead murderer.
9.00pm Escape from Colditz Channel 4 - Colditz Castle, one of the most notorious prisoner of war camps in Nazi Germany, was supposed to be escape-proof. But in the dark days at the end of World War II, a group of British officers dreamt up the most audacious escape plan in history. In a secret workshop in an attic in the castle they constructed a two-man glider out of bed sheets and floorboards. They were going to fly to freedom from the roof of the castle, but the war ended before they could put their plan into action, so no one knows if it would have worked. Now the Brits are back in Colditz to finish the job. Cambridge engineer Dr Hugh Hunt leads a crack team of aeronautics engineers and carpenters to rebuild the glider in the same attic using the same materials

8.00pm The Great British Bake Off BBC2 - The BAFTA award-winning series returns, as twelve of the country's best amateur bakers test their skills. All the challenges are devised by cookery writer and baker Mary Berry and master baker Paul Hollywood, who are also on hand to judge and taste the contestants' efforts. In the first round, the bakers tackle an upside-down cake for their signature bake, before the demanding technical challenge has them trying out Paul's recipe for rum babas. Finally, the cooks attempt to produce a showstopping cake with a hidden design detail, but who will impress the judges and who will be the first to leave? Hosted by Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins.

PICK: 9.00pm Accused BBC1 - The Jimmy McGovern drama following ordinary people who find themselves in court returns for a second series. The first of four episodes stars Sean Bean as college English teacher Simon Gaskell, who stands nervously in the dock as he awaits the jury's verdict. Simon, who specialises in poetry, is gay, lonely and looking for love - and he has a secret: his alter-ego Tracie Tremarco. But trawling bars in Manchester dressed up to the nines, tottering on stilettos and ready to pull has not produced a lasting or truly fulfilling relationship.
9.00pm Seven Dwarves: The Wedding Channel 4 - Seven Dwarves: The Wedding follows Max and Karen from Channel 4's hit series Seven Dwarves as they prepare for their wedding day. Getting married with plenty of time to prepare is enough for most people but not for Max and Karen. On the spur of the moment, they decide to tie the knot at a music festival, leaving only two months to get everything in place for their big day.

10.00pm Person of Interest Five - Crime drama series from the man behind 'Lost', JJ Abrams. In this pilot episode, John Reese, an ex-CIA agent who dropped off the radar and is now presumed dead, is recruited by Harold Finch, a wealthy, computer genius who created a programme for the government that analyses all forms of electronic devices to predict future crimes. However the machine only provides a social security number leaving Reese to discover if that person is the villain or the victim and what crime is going to occur.
10.00pm Bad Education BBC3 - School based sitcom starring Jack Whitehall as a hopeless teacher. It is parents' evening at Abbey Grove School and Alfie is under pressure from the deputy headmistress Miss Pickwell to mark his mock exam papers, otherwise she will fail his whole class. However, news that biology teacher Miss Gulliver has split from her boyfriend only serves to distract him as he becomes fixated with securing a date with her. But with the unpredictable headmaster Mr Fraser also keen to make a move on Miss Gulliver, Alfie resorts to desperate measures both to mark the papers and beat Fraser to a date.

8.00pm The Flowerpot Gang BBC1 - Aneka Rice, Phil Tufnell and Joe Swift are the Flowerpot Gang, travelling the country and transforming neglected plots of land into extraordinary life-changing spaces. In the first episode, they travel to Woodland View, a nursing home on the edge of Sheffield where sixty residents, all suffering from dementia, are being cared for. The residents have a large green outside area for their use, but they cannot enjoy it. The paths are too dangerous, and the doors to the garden have been locked. After 10 days of non-stop work, can the Gang pull off stunning results?

PICK: 9.00pm The Best of Men BBC2 - Drama about the birth of the Paralympics in 1948. The remarkable Dr Guttmann comes to Stoke Mandeville Hospital and begins to tranform the lives of his patients. They are paralysed soldiers, written off and facing death from neglect. Their big breakthrough comes when Guttmann introduces sport into their rehabilitation. Stars Rob Brydon and Eddie Marsan.
9.00pm Back in the Saddle: Jennifer Saunders ITV - Jennifer Saunders sets out to re-engage the nation with the equestrian sports that she has known and loved all her life - eventing, showjumping and dressage. In the first of a two-part series, Jennifer relives her pony club youth at an event in her native Cheshire. At The Horse Show at Olympia she is so inspired by the occasion that when interviewed by Clare Balding she commits herself to riding in the Badminton Horse Trials. Having hardly ridden at all in the last ten years she gets lessons from champion showjumper Tim Stockdale and champion eventer Piggy French. At Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire she receives some advice from Princess Anne who tells her that the thing most people forget about horses is that they can kill you even when they are on your side!

9.00pm Corrie Goes to Kenya ITV - Two-part series which sees four Coronation Street stars take a break from the cobbles of Weatherfield to spread a life-saving message in Africa. Actors Sue Cleaver (Eileen Grimshaw), Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw), Brooke Vincent (Sophie Webster) and Ben Price (Nick Tilsley) travel to Kenya on a mission to put on a play with the aim of educating people about the dangers of HIV.
