8.45pm Walt Disney BBC2 - Two-part documentary about the life and legacy of Walt Disney, featuring archival footage only recently released from the Disney vaults, alongside scenes from some of his greatest films and the sketches from which they were created. His friends, family, animators and designers reveal the real man behind the legend. They disclose the previously unknown processes, single-mindedness and sometimes sheer unpleasantness and discrimination that lay behind his seemingly effortless masterpieces. Through bankruptcy, strikes, great risk and more, Disney's refusal to accept failure and his determined pursuit of his creative vision produced cartoons and movies that would define an entire industry.

8.30pm BBC Music Awards BBC1 - Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, Fearne Cotton and Gemma Cairney the BBC Music Awards is a spectacular celebration of the best in popular music from the last 12 months. The live extravaganza features captivating performances from Robbie Williams, The 1975, Emeli Sande, John Legend, Lukas Graham, Kaiser Chiefs, Zara Larsson and Craig David to review and celebrate the year.
9.00pm Muslims Like Us BBC2 - Ten British Muslims with contrasting world views move in together. On the surface, Britain's 2.7 million Muslims are united in faith. But in Muslim homes across the country, there is ongoing discussion about what and who best represents Islam. Concludes Tomorrow Night.
9.00pm Time Commanders BBC4 - Gregg Wallace hosts a history contest in which teams fight each other in virtual reruns of the world's greatest battles. It's 202 BCE and Rome has had enough of the upstart Carthaginian, Hannibal. Desperate to end his 16-year campaign of war against the Republic, one of its greatest ever generals, Scipio, is charged with freeing Italy of this menace.
9.00pm When Philip Met Prince Phillip ITV - In this landmark documentary, Phillip Schofield gets up close and personal access to HRH the Duke of Edinburgh during the 60th anniversary year of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards. Filmed over 12 months, Phillip attends celebrity galas, special receptions and intimate events, meeting the prince in royal palaces all over Britain and learning more about the awards in their diamond jubilee year. On his journey, Phillip meets people like David Walliams, Dame Judi Dench and Joanna Lumley. Phillip also gets privileged access to Prince Philip's family, including his third son Edward, Earl of Wessex and his wife Sophie as they pursue their heavy involvement in the awards scheme.

Blaine pulls the lid off his signature brand of street magic, sparking reactions that will awe audiences and defy all expectations. 7.30pm The Royal Variety Performance ITV - David Walliams hosts this year's Royal Variety Performance - in the presence of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall - from the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith. Tonight's spectacular includes performances by Barry Gibb, Sting, Robbie Williams, Gary Barlow, Sheridan Smith, Emeli Sande, DNCE, OneRepublic, ABC, and this year's Britain's Got Talent winner Lance Corporal Richard Jones. The cast of the Beatles LOVE show by Cirque du Soleil are here from Las Vegas and there are also sneak previews from the casts of Gershwin's classic musical An American in Paris and Gary Barlow's The Girls. Show-stopping numbers are provided by Amber Riley, star of the musical Dreamgirls, and McFly's Tom Fletcher, who premieres his new book The Christmasaurus. Diversity return to the stage where they first auditioned for Britain's Got Talent and there is comedy from Joe Lycett, Alan Davies and Rob Beckett.

10.45pm The Apprentice: The Final Five BBC1 - As series 12 draws to a close, this programme profiles the remaining candidates. Revealing the stories behind each budding tycoon, it gets up close and personal to discover what really drives their ambition and makes them tick. It features interviews from parents, partners and friends, along with Lord Sugar's trusted aides Karren Brady and Claude Littner. The Final Five delves into the candidates' backgrounds and looks back over their highs and lows during the process so far.

9.00pm The Trafford Centre: Countdown to Christmas Five - First in a two-part documentary profiling the Trafford Centre's super-sized seasonal efforts. Spearheading the complex's Christmas operations for the first time, events manager Nikki Tansey heads to Huddersfield to buy 50 miles of fairy lights, and enough baubles to fill an Olympic swimming pool.
9.00pm Timeless E4 - US sci-fi drama in which an unlikely team is tasked with travelling through time to protect the past from a criminal mastermind who aims to change the course of history. After secretly building a time machine called the Mothership, Connor Mason, the head of Mason Industries, requests help when fugitive Garcia Flynn and a team of terrorists hijack it, kidnap his company's chief physicist Anthony Bruhl and disappear into the past. On the orders of Agent Denise Christopher of Homeland Security, history professor Lucy Preston and Delta Force commando Wyatt Logan join Mason Industries' computer scientist Rufus Carlin as he pilots a prototype time machine called the Lifeboat. They return to 6 May 1937 - the day that Germany's Hindenburg airship crashed - in a bid to kill Flynn before he can change the past and irrevocably alter the future.
9.00pm Ireland with Ardal O'Hanlon More4 - Comic actor Ardal O'Hanlon, explores the Emerald Isle and Irish life as he goes off the beaten track around his beloved homeland. Using a series of Victorian guidebooks written by Mr and Mrs SC Hall to tempt the English over to Ireland, Ardal roams from small towns to idiosyncratic attractions, detours from pulpit to pub, and rejoices in the unique festivities and characters you can only find in Ireland.
