5.00pm The 21st Question ITV - Gethin Jones presents a brand new quiz show, a game that revolves around what you know and how well you play your hand. Eleven contestants compete to get onto the power spot and to control the game. Whoever is standing on the power spot when Gethin asks the 21st and final question gets the chance to win and take home all the prize money.
9.00pm World War 1 Remembered from Westminster Abbey BBC2 - Huw Edwards introduces a special candlelit service from Westminster Abbey that marks the moment the war began 100 years ago. The Abbey moves from light into darkness, until one candle remains at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior, which is extinguished at 11.00pm, the exact time war was declared, reflecting Sir Edward Grey's famous remark that's the lights are going out all over Europe'. Communities across the country join, as the nation comes together for an hour of reflection.
9.00pm Dangerous Dog Owners and Proud Five - Documentary about people who keep banned and dangerous dogs. With attacks by aggressive dogs on the increase, local authorities and police forces around the UK are struggling to deal with the increasing numbers of 'status' dogs and gang members who keep 'weapon' dogs, but some owners are utterly unrepentant.
9.00pm Tulisa: The Price of Fame BBC3 - Documentary which follows the last 12 months in the singer Tulisa Contostavlos's life. Combining self-shot diary footage with actuality the programme shows what's it's really like to be on the receiving end of a tabloid sting and its consequences. The film charts Tulisa's highs and her lows, her arrest, her charge, state of mind and suicide attempt and her treatment at the hands of the tabloid press as she travels to the brink of disaster before her case collapses and she regains her life and her reputation. Hard-hitting and harrowing, the film lifts the lid on this episode in the singer's life and in doing so tells us about the nature of celebrity culture and how it feels to be a major celebrity facing public ruin.

9.00pm In the Club BBC1 - Six-part drama from Kay Mellor following the lives of six pregnant women and their partners. At the local parentcraft class, six pregnant women and their partners are preparing for the arrival of their babies. Housewife Diane, schoolgirl Rosie, newlywed Jasmin, businesswoman Roanna, midwife Vicky and blog writer and teaching assistant Kim each have their own issues to deal with. Diane and husband Rick are expecting their miracle child having been told they would never conceive. But a late scan reveals more than they bargained for and with mounting pressure on unemployed Rick to provide for his family, drastic measures are taken. Meanwhile, fifteen-year-old Rosie is hiding her pregnancy from everyone - her dad, the school and even her baby's mystery father. Alone and frightened, she turns to Kim's pregnancy blog for support. But with her waistband fit to burst, she won't be able to keep her secret forever.
9.00pm Kids Behind Bars ITV - Documentary focusing on some of America's youngest and most dangerous criminals. Indiana's Wabash Correctional Facility, a maximum security prison, is home to 40 teenagers serving terms for up to 65 years for murder, armed robbery and assault. In the state of Indiana, children as young as ten can be tried and sentenced for serious crimes within the adult criminal justice system.
9.00pm Don't Tell the Bride BBC3 - New series of the reality series that puts the groom in charge of his wedding.
10.00pm Sexy Beasts BBC3 - Dating show using Hollywood prosthetics to transform people before they go on a first date, thus taking their real looks out of the equation. Can people find love using their personalities alone?
10.00pm Masters of Sex More4 - The second season of the provocative US drama about Dr William Masters and Virginia Johnson, pioneers of the science of human sexuality, arrives on More4. The ramifications of Masters' disastrous presentation ripple beyond his firing from the maternity hospital as Libby, worried about supporting their new baby, pushes him to get another job. Johnson, still working for Dr DePaul, must fight off the unwanted advances and verbal innuendos stemming from the general belief that she was the woman in the film shown at the presentation.

8.00pm The Great British Bake-off BBC1 - The baking challenge is back for another year, welcoming the tent's youngest-ever baker and the oldest. All 12 bakers will be challenged on their baking skills from every angle by judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood, all the while helped - or hindered - by Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins.
8.00pm Double Your House For Half the Money Channel 4 - Sarah Beeny is back with the show about people making their homes bigger and better in eye-wateringly ambitious and inspiring ways, for a fraction of the cost of moving. As well as telling these stories, this series focuses on providing information on the latest products and technology on the market, and showcasing up-to-the-minute design and building innovations. Sarah also supplies her practical expertise and money-saving tips, and in this first episode she's in Great Baddow, Essex, to meet Ian and Claire, who hope to double the size of their four-bed property and make it a multi-generational home with separate floors for their parents, their children and themselves.
9.00pm Operation Wild BBC1 - Clare Balding and vet Steve Leonard find out how developments in human medicine are transforming the way sick animals are treated around the world. Clare discovers how vets in China keep baby pandas alive. Plus, a pioneering operation in Cameroon could transform the life of Shufai the gorilla and an elephant in Laos with a gunshot wound has to have an X-ray at a human hospital.
9.00pm Secrets from the Clink ITV - Two-part documentary about crime and punishment in the nineteenth century, featuring the descendants of those who fell foul of the law. Johnny Vegas, Len Goodman and Mariella Frostrup go on an emotional journey to discover how their ancestors coped doing time in Victorian prisons.
9.00pm Man-Eater of the Congo More4 - American kayakers Ben Stookesberry and Chris Korbulic venture deep into the Congo to track down and capture one of the world's deadliest predators: a massive Nile crocodile that killed their friend and guide Hendri Coetzee in an accident that rocked the kayaking world.
10.35pm Who Do They Think They Are?: 10 Years, 100 Shows BBC1 - The genealogy show celebrates ten years and 100 episodes with a look back at the outstanding moments of the award-winning series. This one-off special features the shocks, surprises, tears, and laughter that have marked the 100 celebrities' extraordinary journeys into their family histories. It remembers the dramatic highlights, from Jeremy Paxman's tears to Boris Johnson's astonishment at his incredible royal connections, as well as the sometimes inadvertently funny bits.

9.00pm Who Do You Think You Are? BBC1 - Actress and national treasure Julie Walters follows her roots back to rural Ireland. On the trail of her great grandfather, Anthony Clarke, Julie's journey takes her to County Mayo where she discovers Anthony was at the centre of a revolutionary movement fighting for land rights. Julie unearths a tale of poverty and tyranny - and ultimately triumph, at a tumultuous time in Irish history.
9.00pm Kids With Cameras: Diary of a Children's Ward ITV - First in a three-part series in which the young patients of Newcastle's Great North Children's Hospital are given cameras to record their experiences. The kids are dealing with everything from everyday minor injuries to major surgery and life-threatening illnesses. In this episode, Isaac has been stuck in hospital for 41 days without any solid food and would now do anything for a bacon butty. For 12-year-old Tyrone, the hospital is becoming a second home - this time he is in as a result of a massive asthma attack. Josslyn is eight and has been fighting a brain infection for the past three weeks. Six-year-old Sam has been a regular since he was three months old. He has a rare form of anaemia and relies on frequent blood transfusions to replace his red blood cells. Amelia has been a patient at the hospital over the past seven years. Only eight, she is receiving treatment for juvenile arthritis.
9.00pm Our World War BBC3 - Drama series about British troops serving on the front line during World War One. August 1914, two weeks after war is declared and 80,000 British troops arrive in southern Belgium. Amongst them are the 4th Battalion, The Royal Fusiliers. Lt Maurice Dease and Lt Fred Steele command two companies of riflemen and machine gunners who find themselves camping overnight at Nimy Bridge, the northernmost point of the Mons-Conde canal.
10.00pm First Time Farmers Channel 4 - First Time Farmers returns for a new series, lifting the lid on the lives of 12 ambitious young farmers from across Britain. Some have had their careers mapped out since birth, inheriting family farms built by generations. Some have branched out to straddle careers as builders and even estate agents. Others are becoming skilled in agriculture from scratch with almost no farming background. They're all balancing farmyard responsibilities with the life of an average fun-loving twenty-something. This episode meets three feisty young farmers from Herefordshire. Twenty-three-year-old dairy farmer and student Kate is a blonde bombshell. She doesn't look like a stereotypical farmer but she loves cows.
10.00pm Cuckoo BBC3 - Comedy series about Ken, the proud father of a Midlands family, who is still dealing with the fallout of his daughter's marriage to crazy hippy traveller, Cuckoo. Ken is looking forward to an empty nest now that Dylan has got into university, but a painful operation and a mysterious stranger conspire to make life a lot less simple.

9.00pm Walter BBC1 - Comedy pilot starring Adrian Dunbar as a father and detective. Walter is facing imminent bankruptcy, while at work the appointment of a new chief superintendent coincides with the dramatic death of a serving detective. Walter is tasked with taking over the dead officer's cases and trying to track down an undercover officer, apparently lost and alone deep within a hardened drugs gang.
9.00pm The Great British Bake-Off: An Extra Slice BBC2 - Sister series to The Great British Bake Off, in which Jo Brand is joined by three celebrity fans to take a look at the most recent episode, with interviews and unseen footage. Kicking off the series, Jo and her panel of Bake Off fans discuss the 12 new bakers and their bakes - the theme this week is cakes.
